In my humble opinion, ALL murderers, child molesters, rapists and the like should be used for medical research and then discarded, instead of using defenceless animals.

These people are a scar on humanity and do not deserve any better.
Animals are innocent and deserve our respect. Without animals in the world, a great deal of disease and pestilence would be rife. And after all, they have been around a hell of a lot longer than us.

Your thoughts?

I disagree. As much as we might dislike what these people have done, (or allegedly done) we cannot take away their human rights. Only their freedom. To say that one human life is worth less than another is judgmental. To say the actions of a human are vile... is appropriate.

People are not always what they do. Bad people do bad things, and sometimes good people do bad things. People are not defined solely by their actions.

i agree...with the exception of those few who've been wrongly accused and convicted--i'd have to say those who've been caught in the act of murder, rape or child molestation have forfeited their rights and should feel honored to pay their debt to society in a way that benefits society the most...i dunno... i'm really not in favor of torture, but if it benefits the innocent(humans and animals alike), I say go for it... I have two children--if anyone molested them, I'd have no hesitation in offering the molester up for experimentation... (but in reality, i'd rather put a bullet in him myself!)

I agree. Even though, I do understand how people would want to go to those measures

Oh yea! As if the medical industry does not already have enough power in our current system. Lets put them in charge of our criminal justice and prison system too!
So..when they clear out death row..Then what? Maybe reduce the standards of what justifies capital punishment? Redefine guilt?

As i said before...i'd gladly put the bullet in anyone who did something like that to my child...to say it's not fair to call another human's actions 'vile' is the most ridiculous thing i've read here in a while!!!
