I follow the laws as I believe/learned them. I may not be 7th day
anymore, but I still believe and try to follow the teachings I have come
to know.
I used to worship and believe in Sunday worship but now as far as I'm
concerned ( and I don't bash anyone who doesn't agree with me; that is
between them and God ) Saturday is Sabbath, and that will never change
for me.
The laws and commandments have never changed and never will. I don't
usually talk religion or polotics but I guess I just couldn't stop
myself this time hahahaha. Just my 2 cents.

The 'saved' will HAVE to keep the rests (sabbath) in the NEW EARTH.
Isaiah: 66: 22,23. If those in BC times were required to keep it, and
those AFTER Jesus comes sometime in the EARTH MADE NEW, Whet happen to
the people in the time 'IN BETWEEN? Don/t you think that it's feels
awkward that before and after must and not NOW? Hebrews 4 says: "We who
have believed (the then believers, The Church) DO ENTER INTO SABBATH
(RESTS)

O'righty then - here's some interesting thoughts. I was doing some
research on calendars. The oldest through the most current. I was
thinking -

1. Based on the Julien calendar, current one, how many years do you
suppose are between Adam & Eve's creation and Moses at the time he
received God's laws?

2. Also, I have been unable to determine a circa for the time of Moses,
but it would be most interesing to know for sure when he lived, then we
could determine what calendar was in use at the time, to see how the
ancient Jews would have fit their religion/their sabboth into that
calendar.

3. And with regards to questions 1 & 2, if God's laws were so important
(and I'm not saying they are not ethically sound) but why would God wait
to long to implement these laws. An if it was not that long a time,
exactly how did man come to exist from the two beings Adam & Eve, in so
many different regions of the world, in so many different cultures, with
so many different belief systems?

I found a lot of information about dates and how they've been manipulted
to accomodate certain Christian beliefs, could make for some interesting
questions.

I am an SDA, it is a personal choice, I need neither vindication nor
compliance from others.

red, we have to prove that we cannot run the world ourselves and we need
his help and guidance. we will come within a hair of destroying
ourselves before gOD STEPS IN and shows us... again... the right way.
This time we will follow him like we should have all along and then we
will get it right. the old testament starts out showing us gods laws,
then shows examples of governments that followed these laws, became a
model society, then in our ignorance fell away and destroyed themselves.
and were next.

in the end the choice has been ours. you can see the results around you
of our failure to follow his teachings. . sin, war, starvation, greed,
ect.

See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive
philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of
this world rather than on Christ.
When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful
nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins,
having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against
us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the
cross.
**Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or
with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath
day. **
Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by
nature are not gods. But now that you know God—or rather are known by
God—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable
principles? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again? **You are
observing special days and months and seasons and years!**I fear for
you, that somehow I have wasted my efforts on you.

suede, Gods laws never change. is murder now fine since christ died for
our sins? laws changing is a thing of man, not God.
does the food God says are good for us, (scriptual food laws) change?
how can the fuel we run on change??? cmon.. use the ole noodle.

The bible says "Christ came to fulfill the law",
not change it.

Suede, very nice. These were indeed the teaching I learned in the
Lutheran faith, when I was forced to go as a child.

Hi Ram, I understand what you are saying, but I think in your focus, you
have put on blinders. What Suede is referring is not just the
information a Christian finds in the OT of their Bible. He refers to
all the laws that were Judiesm before Christ. Those laws related to
sacrifices, for example as well as the laws that related to proper
eating edicate commonly referred to as being Kosher, and the laws
related to obeying the sabboth and many others.

Not intended harshly against you Ram, just meant as clarification.

I must have misunderstood you ram. You said, “sabbath day, the day of
rest. sundown saturday to sundown sunday, one of the ten commandments is
to partake.” I took that to mean that if I was going to be in good
standing with God, I had to worship Him on that day. I don’t believe
that’s what you mean.

Ram, I am searching for the truth here so do not take this as an attack
or any other meaning. What food did God say His people could eat during
the Old Testament days and after Christ fulfilled the law, did that
remain the same?

leviticus chapter 11. scriptual food laws. i dont see how the food we
are designed to eat could have changed. good example of the churches
ignoring bible fact .
