As the days go by, I think of how lucky I am.

That you're not here to ruin it for me.

*************************************

Your friends and I wanted to do

something special for your birthday.

So we're having you put to sleep.

*************************************

I must admit, you brought Religion into my life.

I never believed in Hell until I met you.

*************************************

Looking back over the years

that we've been together,

I can't help but wonder...

"What the hell was I thinking?"

I was having problems getting rid of a virus and I had to go into "Safe
Mode" and run the Anti-Virus programs before I was able to get rid of
it. I have had more luck with AVG than any other anti-virus software. A
helpful site for me was:

My wife and I were sitting at a table at my high school reunion, and I
kept staring at a drunken lady swigging her drink as she sat alone at a
nearby table.

Suddenly...noticing me staring at the woman, My wife asks, "Do you know
her?"

"Yes...", I sighed deeply, "She's my old girlfriend. I was told she took
to drinking right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear she
hasn't been sober since."

"Unbelievable" says my wife, "Who would think a person could go
on celebrating that long?"

There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to
death.

Ad,
Spiders explanation of the extra books in the Catholic Bible is correct.
They incorporate some or all of the Apocrypha in their Bible.

The Protestant Bible has 66 books…39 Old Testament and 27 New Testament.
The Catholic Bible has several more books

It is the act of conditioning…little by little the world is being
conditioned to accept the things that you feel are not right. Remember
when Elvis came on stage. They only showed him from the waist up. What
can you see now? You never saw a man and woman in bed together on TV. I
may be wrong but I think Fred and Wilma were the first couple to be
shown in bed together on TV. You did not hear cussing on TV or radio.
Then they had to censer so that only certain words could be said. Now
there is cable and satellite where anything goes. Technology has
progressed at lightening speed in the last 50 years. Money, cash, is
almost a thing of the past. Finger print scans, eye retinal scans, this
technology is here and in use. Camera’s to view traffic??? Conditioning
to be used in other ways. Remember “Service Station”? Check your oil and
air up your tires…now they are called “Gas Stations”. Use to, when you
stopped at the gas station to get gas you had to converse with the
attendant when you went inside to pay. Now you can pay at the pump.
Independence. But also like you said twosteper, there is a lot of good
that has come about also. I don’t want, or mean, to sound like doom and
gloom, just thinking out loud and IMO the way I see yesterdays society
as compared to today’s society

A nice, calm and respectable lady went into the pharmacy, right up to
the pharmacist, looked straight into his eyes and said, "I would like to
buy some cyanide".

The pharmacist asked, "Why in the world do you need Cyanide?" The lady
replied, "I need it to poison my husband." The pharmacist's eyes got
big and he exclaimed, "I can't give you cyanide to kill your husband!
That's against the law! I'd lose my license! They'll throw both of us
in jail! All kinds of bad things will happen. Absolutely not! You
CANNOT have any cyanide!"

The lady reached into her purse and pulled out a picture of her husband
in bed with the pharmacist's wife. The pharmacist looked at the picture
and replied:

"Well now, that's different. You didn't tell me you had a
prescription."

I can’t see where someone that was a true follower of Christ would think
about doing something like that but it’s your choice just like trying to
discuss a serious topic like this. You choose to be facetious instead of
serious. Good for you that you have it all figured out. You’re the only
one I know of … 1 Corinthians 10:12 So, if you think you are standing
firm, be careful that you don't fall!

Thanks for the discussion. Because of you I have had to search the
Scriptures again and I learned a little more.

Peace Rambill79

If you / I / we could follow the Commandments then Christ died for
nothing. Ram, I don’t know you from Adam but, imho, it seems you
concentrate on the Old Testament Laws more than you accept the Grace
received through Christ. I do not mean to offend you or anyone else but
that is my observation from the few post on this thread. If I am way off
base I apologize. Each of us must search for the truth and if someone
searches then God will reveal the truth to him or her. I believe in what
the Old and New Testaments speak about. I read Leviticus 11 and
understand that God was talking to the Israelites and had this law put
in place. I also understand that Christ came and things changed. One of
them was the law. Before Christ came the law was unfulfilled. After
Christ came the law was fulfilled. That’s change. Act’s 10 talks about
Peter having a vision and in the vision God told him to eat pretty much
anything. God knows that humans cannot abide by His laws. We are sinful
people. There is none good, no not one. Roman 3:10 tells us that. God
reached out to everyone, Jews and Gentiles. He wants to have a
relationship with everyone so He made it as easy as possible for us to
have that relationship. And “the way” (John 14:6) is through Jesus
Christ. The Bible talks about being freed from the bondage of the law
and the way to do that is by Grace through the sacrifice of Christ.

I must have misunderstood you ram. You said, “sabbath day, the day of
rest. sundown saturday to sundown sunday, one of the ten commandments is
to partake.” I took that to mean that if I was going to be in good
standing with God, I had to worship Him on that day. I don’t believe
that’s what you mean.

Ram, I am searching for the truth here so do not take this as an attack
or any other meaning. What food did God say His people could eat during
the Old Testament days and after Christ fulfilled the law, did that
remain the same?

See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive
philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of
this world rather than on Christ.
When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful
nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins,
having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against
us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the
cross.
**Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or
with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath
day. **
Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by
nature are not gods. But now that you know God—or rather are known by
God—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable
principles? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again? **You are
observing special days and months and seasons and years!**I fear for
you, that somehow I have wasted my efforts on you.
