wasent sure where to put this

Cucumbers.........who knew?

Cellulite? Hey, I'll try anything...

1. Cucumbers contain most of the vitamins you need every day, just one cucumber contains Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin C, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Zinc.

2. Feeling tired in the afternoon, put down the caffeinated soda and pick up a cucumber. Cucumbers are a good source of B Vitamins and Carbohydrates that can provide that quick pick-me-up that can last for hours.

3. Tired of your bathroom mirror fogging up after a shower? Try rubbing a cucumber slice along the mirror, it will eliminate the fog and provide a soothing, spa-like fragrance.

4. Are grubs and slugs ruining your planting beds? Place a few slices in a small pie tin and your garden will be free of pests all season long. The chemicals in the cucumber react with the aluminum to give off a scent undetectable to humans but drive garden pests crazy and make them flee the area.

5. Looking for a fast and easy way to remove cellulite before going out or to the pool? Try rubbing a slice or two of cucumbers along your problem area for a few minutes, the phytochemicals in the cucumber cause the collagen in your skin to tighten, firming up the outer layer and reducing the visibility of cellulite. Works great on wrinkles too!!!

6.. Want to avoid a hangover or terrible headache? Eat a few cucumber slices before going to bed and wake up refreshed and headache free. Cucumbers contain enough sugar, B vitamins and electrolytes to replenish essential nutrients the body lost, keeping everything in equilibrium, avoiding both a hangover and headache!!

7. Looking to fight off that afternoon or evening snacking binge? Cucumbers have been used for centuries and often used by European trappers, traders and explores for quick meals to thwart off starvation.

8. Have an important meeting or job interview and you realize that you don't have enough time to polish your shoes? Rub a freshly cut cucumber over the shoe, its chemicals will provide a quick and durable shine that not only looks great but also repels water.

9. Out of WD 40 and need to fix a squeaky hinge? Take a cucumber slice and rub it along the problematic hinge, and voila, the squeak is gone!

10. Stressed out and don't have time for massage, facial or visit to the spa? Cut up an entire cucumber and place it in a boiling pot of water, the chemicals and nutrients from the cucumber with react with the boiling water and be released in the steam, creating a soothing, relaxing aroma that has been shown the reduce stress in new mothers and college students during final exams.

11. Just finish a business lunch and realize you don't have gum or mints? Take a slice of cucumber and press it to the roof of your mouth with your tongue for 30 seconds to eliminate bad breath, the phytochemcials will kill the bacteria in your mouth responsible for causing bad breath.

12. Looking for a 'green' way to clean your faucets, sinks or stainless steel? Take a slice of cucumber and rub it on the surface you want to clean, not only will it remove years of tarnish and bring back the shine, but is won't leave streaks and won't harm you fingers or fingernails while you clean.

13. Using a pen and made a mistake? Take the outside of the cucumber and slowly use it to erase the pen writing, also works great on crayons and markers that the kids have used to decorate the walls!!

Pass this along to everybody you know who is looking for better and safer ways to solve life's everyday problems..

These are great!

Another useful tip. Use an ace bandage wrap to secure a cucumber to your inner thigh then put on your tightest pants. You will not only be life of the party, you can quickly and easily secure a date too!

The only brand thing I do is Levis...they just fit better, but I don't get them unless they're on sale, and if I can find them in thrift store, even better.

I have to shop with the best purchase for money in mind, so mostly it's generic, unless the current sale is a better deal, but generics, even though cheaper, are not always the best deal in the long run. I'll try an item once and if it lives up to my expectations, then I stick with it, otherwise buy that item on sale and stock up.

I don't do fragrances.

I'm not a clothes whore. Jeans and cut-offs are my mainstay. Mostly wear flip-flops in the summer, and sneakers, whatever I find on sale and I like, in the winter.

I rarely wear make-up 'cause I work at home and Buttercup likes me with or without it  , but I use a combination of brands when I do wear it.

I don't own a cell. I have a home phone. No I-Pod or any of the new fangled electronics.

I've thought about joining PJFI. http://www.pjfi.org

Might not be a bad idea.

I was working at a residential treatment center for abused/neglected kids and kids with mental disorders. They had a website for teens..Teen Central..where teens could post problems and get a perspective from kids their age and backed up problem solving by adults. A predator, probably a few tried, to sneak in there.

I don't have them anymore, but in my 20s I was on a softball team and made the winning point for our team to win first place...

And.. a few years ago I won an award for helping to catch an on-line child predator.

So yeah, I hung a curtain...one little curtain on one little window! noway So...I get the chair, the bracket, the hammer. Bracket in hand, picked up the nail and not once, but three times, dropped it and had to get off the chair and look for it! I finally get the first nail in and onto the second and I kid you not, I dropped it! I finally get it nailed in and gave it one last smack with the hammer and hit my finger! I thought well, at least it's in. Moved the chair to the other side, bracket in hand, picked up the hammer and there is blood streaming down my arm from where I smacked my finger, got a real nice little blood blister. Off the chair, cleaned up the blood and back on the chair again. Got the bracket in. Got the curtain rod, attempted to hang it and the bracket and nails flew out of the wall into the middle of the room. Spent 10 minutes searching for them. Got the right bracket in, proceed to hang the curtain and notice I hung the bracket on the left......upside down! noway Well, at this point I just fell the floor in a fit of laughter! Everything that could possibly go wrong, did! Curtain is hung though...I'm NEVER taking it down to clean it!!

Gotta go get a Band-Aid for my finger.....sad

You would make a wonderful auto mechanic ! Thats a typical day for us. Just substitute curtain rod bracket with power steering pump bracket, and substitute nail with bolt, and you got it perfectly bigsmile

Okay, you come hang my curtains and I'll come work on your cars!

If it makes you feel any better, I recently bought some new pictures for the kids bathroom and a new frame for the living room. I measured, had it all leveled and I'll be dang if they weren't crooked. Ugh. Had to re-do them and finally got them straight. Though I think one still is a tad off, but I was not putting another hole in the wall I just painted.

There's a picture in my kitchen, I swear to heaven I cannot get to hang straight. noway Just play it off as one of my many idiosyncresies!

Maybe you're feeling a little tilted today? I know I am, LOL!!!

Some folks around here might say I'm a bit 'tilted' every day! Oh well...everyone's gotta be sumthin'bigsmile
