Although I don't know what your age is, I've learned a lot about not going on looks over the years.

Rick1980:

So, if men are based solely on "looks", does that mean some women should quit dating for life, according to what you believe? I think that's crap, personally, and indicates major shallowness, big time.

Yes, if they were a non-smoker and we had things in common.

Don't give up. I moved to Ohio and the dating has been far worse for me than it was in Michigan, where I came from originally. You also might want to try several sites, not just one. That way you have a chance to talk to more people. flowerforyou

You're a good guy! It gets sickening to be liked for one's body. Big time.

You're not alone. It seems as if a woman isn't "perfect" in looks, shape or size, she's totally ignored. The positive side is that a woman just has to forget the guys that are so shallow and continue on, maybe on many other sites. drinker

Children are very smart. The best part is that they can figure out who the better parent is, without even being told. And, when they get to be teens....if the other parent isn't in their life, they may not want to have anything to do with them and that's their choice too. As strange as it may seem, it's a big blessing to me.

laugh There's nothing wrong with having a backup plan. You don't think men do it all the time, too? If someone's not in a committed relationship, they should be free to socialize with as many people as they want. Just never, ever have 2 run into each other. That gets very tricky.

I would never have married my children's fathers. It would have been much better for me to have raised them alone, by far, than the crap I had to deal with for years. drinker

I think the "Gr8guy" needs to change his name, for starters. laugh And he's going to be lambasted by the better women on here, just give it time. If he gets a date, I'd be shocked. drinker

It really bites that people can be so rude, but it's something I've seen quite a bit of too. This isn't the friendliest site. mad
