There are many of us here who are just keeping in touch with friends and enjoy the banter of the threads.

For those actively looking, I think the "friends" keep things light and conversational which might provide a lower stress environment.

This environment (imo) makes approaching someone you admire less awkward...if it's in the context of conversation.

Sure, initially there is far less pressure. It is quite easy just to be yourself when you don't gotta worry about putting out like in face to face meetings.

We make this place a home away from home.
I'm not moving out! If I am in the way...

I agree. I enjoy the banter and silliness. After all of lifes stresses, it is good to get on here and chat but still be humorous about things. I would hope anyone would know that they can email me and I would respond or just say hi and make my day. Little things mean alot.

Casting a line once into a pond might catch you a fish. Casting that line multiple times increases your odds of catching one substantially. I have a hook in my mouth now..

I agree and happened to have met the woman I love while bantering out on the threads... It is truly the way to make the most of this site.

I agree, being on the forum has made it easy to meet people and to expreience others opinions on how they live there life and of corse, you have the clowns on here that make it fun and for some people it makes them more comfortable. So over all, it's all in what your looking for and somtimes what you put into it.

I agree with Mitch. I met someone while bantering on the threads as well. Sort of just dropped into my lap thru joking around, only to realize there was a true connection there.

The threads are also helpful to "see" personalities over time - is the person consistently kind or consistently an arse? Do they try to instigate drama or do they try to add something positive? Probably all of this is indicative of how they behave IRL, too.

i agree, and it truly can be the best of both worlds. great friends, ones i will keep in touch with for a long time to come, and a special someone who is rocking my world right now it's all good, and there's something for everyone.

Met a lot of good folks here that I consider friends, in touch daily and care about their day to day lives (yes they have them off of here! )

It's a great place to keep in touch and keep up with folks from all over the globe. I wouldn't have otherwise had the opportunity to meet and get to know a bit about them and their lives without being on here!

So my thanks go out to Tigerman for telling me about this site and suggesting I come check it out!
