Well.... I get it about mistakes and regretable actions where things were learned and they've grown, but I'd still like to know those things and what they learned. Those things scream information as to whom I am considering being a part of my life, and YOU BET... I have every right to know if they want to be part of my life so I know to the best of my knowledge who has hold of my heart and devotion.

But if they are hiding a flaw, like being a closet alcoholic or drug abuser, or had been a lothario, or don't want to tell me how they really feel about certain important matters TO ME, then I think it is reprehensible to keep those secrets. I already got conned into a marriage with a pathological liar and secret keeper; Like to him, getting me was his goal by hook or by crook. Scr*w me and what was good for me and my daughter.

There are things better left unsaid. It won't help the relationship if it's said, and it won't hurt if it's unsaid.

I think one should'nt share their secrets until they feel comfortable doing so. When a woman pours her heart out to me, the first thing I think is why? You hope that they will look into your eyes and say sweet things, but it's often just baggage.

I truly don't care what somebody has done or where they have been. I want to accept a person for who they are and I want to be given the chance to do so. If Im loaded down with stories, I can't help but wonder 'when will I become her next story?'

I think all should be told IF asked. You should never hold back the truth. Now if they dont ask then they dont need to know

Some things are always better left unsaid. The past is the past( unless there was some criminal past) and should stay that way.

the degree of honesty and openness, if the degree of love capable of developing, and if another breach that trust when asked not to, it has lowered itself to lack of dignity and trust, and for the honest and loving one, to base future relationships upon any such breach, is but to allow this to effect and control the amount of love ever realized???

if one can't handle the truth, then one cannot handle loving???
