our opinions are part of the reasons why our soldiers fought and some died for

Sorry Rose, I don't know why it burns me up so when folks say stuff like this. Soldiers fight because they are trained to fight, and they volunteered to do so. I did not ask them to fight for me, nor does my freedom to express myself depend on a soldier. This doesn't mean I respect my family members any less who have also served, and I would be just as ticked if they said stuff like that.

I expect my president to DEMAND respect for his supporters/people.

To bow is to concede victory, defeat. To humble yourself before a superior entity.

We are Americans, not Arabs! If their King wants to be bowed to he can call on his subjects. Our President is not one of them..... I hope!

We do not have to DEMAND respect unless disrespected first. If we are meeting with leaders of other countries our president is no better than they are and we earn more respect by being respectful of their customs than we do being arrogant and intolerant.

If bowing is a custom is a mutual respect thing that has nothing to do with being supservient or conceding defeat.

We should respect the other nations customs and bow if bowing is the custom.

If you personally want to be disrespectful and arrogant, go ahead because you only hurt yourself, but I will not have my president being disrespectful to other leaders for no reason.

Bowing is what the kings "subjects" do! Does his wife or wives bow? His sons?

I'll piss on his favorite goat before I bow to him if I represented an entire nation that has earned its right as a world power!

If you were representative of the entire USA, the answer to the question in hand would be a massive YES.

The USA is the worlds super power, yes, but if you think you are better than anyone else because of that, then that is solely what you think. It is not what i think, or the rest of the world. I could think that i am special too, but it doesnt mean that i am.

Actually yes it does. Without those soldiers you may well not have the right.

If this "King" does not respect you as an equal or "King" to your people, you have lost any chance of equality in ANY dealings you may wish to endeavor!

You do not go on the offensive before knowing that someone does not respect you.

I want our representatives to be respectful of all nations as our equals.

If my president acted as you have suggested, I and a lot of other people I know would be up in arms about the disrespect and disregard of the other nations leaders.

They would know how I thought of them.

I am not saying we are better! I am saying we are AMERICANS! The King may get his bows from HIS loyal subjects, but our president is not one of them!

We are not better, but our President had best show the world he is equal to any leader in it or make us fools!

Kings don't bow to Kings! It only shows that BHO serves a master and is used to bowing!

You want to represent me you had best be able to spit in the eye of opression, and bowing is opression by any definition!

The operative word here is "might". Conflicts can be resolved without war so it is not a definite that the war had to happen to keep our rights.

most of our soldiers (as well as soldiers all around the world) served because they believe in their country and here because they believe in the constitution...which give us free speech

and it burns me up just as much when they are discounted for their service this way. and also when people demine someones position in the service because they are just cooks or whatever. they had to go through basic training too.

Most soldiers deserve our respect and honor for placing their lives on the line for this country. There is no doubt of that.

I say most because there are bad soldiers just like there are bad people.

Soldiering is an honorable profession and should not be shown in a light of disrespect.

For someone to not believe that they fight for them is not disrespectful because if that person does not approve the warring action, they do not feel fought for. You cannot take that away from them.

and as I said...that was HER opinion NOT mine. I didn't take anything away from her.

BUT....an opinion of someone is not true at all (just because it's not your opinion) is arrogance as well. opinions are not facts....they are opinions

You can bow to anyone you want to! I'll piss on their pet goat first!

My life may not mean much to you but your life is worth me offering mine for! You can negate that if you want, I fought for your right to do so, but when my President negates my offewring to give him the power to stand tall "as a world leader" and he bows before another man..... He is a traitor in my eyes! Just like "Hanoi Jane" Fonda!

I lost many friends and offered my own life so you would never have to bow before any human dictator, so you could condemn or condone me without fear. If you want your President to bow, don't be disappointed, he is bowing to the banking cartel that rules him even now.... so you win!

Your service to this country will never be dishonored by me.

Sounds like you have some unresolved issues here so I will not play psychologist here.

Good luck with this.

I will continue to want my president to be Unarrogant and respect others customs and meet with leaders on level respectful ground.

My freedom to express myself, does not depend on any other human being, period. I will die expressing myself, and it will not depend on anything other than my will to express myself until the very end of my life, no matter who is president or who serves. I discount no one for their choices in life, that is their choice, but they don't speak for me nor do they prevent me from expressing myself. Maybe I am just not saying this right, but I am getting to tired to keep going much more anyway. I don't know how you got that I was demeaning anyones position in the service because I choose to express myself dispite someones belief that their service allows me that...
