This kinda thing sbugs me :( sadly it really happens.


This is A TRUE STORY ......

My name is Chris,
I am three,
My eyes are swollen.
I cannot see.

I must be stupid,
I must be bad,
What else could have made,
My daddy so mad?

I wish I were better,
I wish I weren't ugly,
Then maybe my mommy,
Would still want to hug me.

I can't do a wrong,
I can't speak at all,
Or else I'm locked up,
All day long.

When I'm awake,
I'm all alone,
The house is dark,
My folks aren't home.

When my mommy does come home,
I'll try and be nice,
So maybe I'll just get,
One whipping tonight.

I just heard a car,
My daddy is back,
From Charlie's bar

I hear him curse,
My name is called,
I press myself,
Against the wall.

I try to hide,
From his evil eyes,
I'm so afraid now,
I'm starting to cry.

He finds me weeping,
Calls me ugly words,
He says its my fault,
He suffers at work.

He slaps and hits me,
And yells at me more,
I finally get free,
And run to the door.

He's already locked it,
And I start to bawl,
He takes me and throws me,
Against the hard wall.

I fall to the floor,
With my bones nearly broken,
And my daddy continues,
With more bad words spoken.

'I'm sorry!', I scream,
But it's now much to late,
His face has been twisted,
Into a unimaginable shape.

The hurt and the pain,
Again and again,
O please God, have mercy!
O please let it end!

And he finally stops,
And heads for the door,
While I lay there motionless,
Sprawled on the floor.

My name is Chris,
I am three,
Tonight my daddy,
Murdered me.

And you can help,
Sickens me to the soul,
If you read this,
and don't pass it on.

I pray for your forgiveness,
You would have to be,
One heartless person,
Not to be affected,
By this Poem.

And because you ARE affected,
Do something about it!
So all I ask you to do,
Is pass this on!

IF YOU ARE AGAINST CHILD ABUSE!

This is oh so true I lived a childhood quite similar to chris such a sad thing to hear of children goin thru this

What a shame!!!!!!!!!!!!!But this something that happens to often.

This make me so sad and mad at the same time.....

Sad part is most of the time the states are taking the wrong kids away and leaving the ones who are in the most danger and a lot of those kids die cuz people are dumb....

That is so sad and sickening! Life is really unfair and the poor innocent children that suffer, it isnt right!

Thank you for reminding us about the young victims in the world who need our protection and help.

Read the book "A Child Called It", it's the true story of a man who grew up in a very abusive home. It's amazin that he lived to tell the story honestly. He actually wrote a series of books. Quite compellin to read.

Have read all of his works. They are all great.

Amazin how after everything he went thru, he turned out to be a wonderful human bein. Strong argument for nature over nuture

So many people have to go through this that I sometimes feel are any families normal. I can not understand with all the money this country wastes that we can not make safe homes for children. The sad part about it is the reason most children remain in unfit homes is because there are no places to move them to. And sadly some of the places are just as bad if not worse than what they came from. You would not believe the regulations related to adoption and foster parenting in this country. Sad footnote the other end of life is no better. What goes on in the name of care for seniors is criminal too.

Yes, I too have read and own the books, shows that no matter what we go through, that how we live and what we contribute to life and others is a CHOICE! We can take all the bad we went through and use if for good...dont think many could go through as much as he has...poor kid, but he is an AMAZING person!!!

If you suspect child abuse, you can call and make a report without giving your name. Check you state's website or call the police. One call could save a child's life!

I'd like to take credit for it, but I didn't write it. It was emailed to me but the author's name was left out. I can honestly say if I knew this was happening to a little boy...it'd be the last time the father hit him...ever.....
