I met a great old world gypsy who used her crystal ball to give me some great lottery numbers and I won $5000!

The above statement is all full of monkey dung!

Nah, met no one! But what a great group of friends I have made!

OP, it depends what your idea of LUCK is. I have been to two Mingle Parties in less than a month. I saw live music, heard intersting stories, a lot of talk about successful dates and plain old dumba**es (I even met one or two of those). I haven't gone out with anyone from this site, but I wouldn't advertise it if I did (don't kiss and tell).

Since I am relatively new to Dallas and my friend convinced me to come over from a differeent site it has been a quick start to making and meeting friends.

So, no this site does not suck.

I believe it is a free site. I just joined and can't say it's a bad site.

Wow thats awsome congrats!! But why are you still on a dating site then?

Mingle is more than a dating site; it's a social site for non-singles too.

I haven't met anyone local that I'm interested in dating, and as with others, I have met a lot of friends (in person too).

If you EXPECT to come on a dating site and find your match, you will be disappointed; however, if you come to a SOCIAL site, you never know who you will meet!

I meet my first Mingle friend the other day: http://mingle2.com/topic/show/229428

I love this site!

Well, maybe it's just me..but i see six pages of support for Mingle2. I have watched these boards for nearly two years, i have seen friendships made, marriages, and as far as i know, all are doing pretty well.

Tom and Merle were married last year, or earlier this year..(correct me if i'm wrong guys) Peccy and southgaangel, many more relationships have been formed here..

The platform is here, free to use, the website has provided the tools, free of charge, i think that the site deserves a little more respect than the title of this thread. Negativity, will rarely if ever, produce positive results. Just my .02

.02 well spent Mark! I totally agree with you. The tools are here to be used. The possibilities are endless! I think that the OP needs to be a little more active in the forums than just 6 posts in over a year and a half. To me the forums are what makes Mingle the great site that it is. If someone is found, great, if not, well you can't put a pricetag on friendships made, friends that I look forward to hopefully meeting in Aug. at the East Coast Mingle Meet.

Someone only has access to your heart if you allow it...it's not the site's fault. Like the Wizard of Oz said: Hearts will only be practical when they can be made unbreakable, my sentimental friend...flowerforyou

I know it sounds bad, but -- there are no guarantees. Just like in real life.

I wish there was a better answer.
