I would like to help you, but in order to see the whole pattern I would have to sign up, and frankly, I have no notion of doing so.

And I would have to see the pattern since I know the names of stitches only in German.

Sorry.flowerforyou

and i can suggest two awesome peoples on youtube that can show you patterns in real time. one is threadbangers a DIY channel that does everything. you just gotta hunt down the crocheted stuff and the other is tjw1963 or also known as the art of crochet.

:) check them out. they taught me how to crochet.

What is it you do not understand about the foundation row?

this in specific...

Foundation Row With RS facing and A, skip first 20 sc, join with slip st around post of next sc, ch 1, FPsc in same st, FPsc in next 25 sts; turn – 26 sc.

with right side facing what? i'm left handed but i think i was taught to crochet right handed. or maybe i just do it mirrored I'M NOT SURE!

A is refering to the color. i know that much. is says to skip 20 single crochet, join with slip stitch, join around post..

Whats a post!? see this is what happens when you can't afford the classes...

of next single crochet, chain 1, FPSC? i'm thinkin front post single crochet.. so am i supposed to be doing this with a completely seperate ball of yarn? and attaching through slip stitch? as i'm only using one color instead of the three its originally asking (thought it would be easier!!!) i'm lost now. :( and what the hell is a front post single crochet???

and then when the inner visor starts Wrong Side, is this on the foundation row i just did!?!? or is this on the first row of the hat? omg i feel like a dunce. and per wrong side... if it is the foundation stitch thats already on the top of another stitch.. is it the wrong side of the original stitch!?

its bad isnt it...

Post could be referring to the treble of the previous row, as for RS (right side) could mean right side facing you.

ch : chain(s)
dc : double crochet
lp (s) : loop(s)
sc : single crochet
sp (s) : space(s)
st (s) : stitch(es)
tog : together
yo : yarn over
* : Repeat directions following * as many times as indicated
[ ] : Repeat the directions inside brackets as many times as indicated
FPsc : (front post single crochet) Insert hook from front to back to front around post of next st, yo and draw up a lp, yo and draw through both lps on hook.
