in the dialysis clinic I attend, about 70% of the patients are also diabetic. Its a big clinic running three shifts of about 50 people a day. for some reason diabetes and kidney failure go hand in hand. so it's likely that one day I will be diabetic. all my uncles are
and I see some of them, 70 years old, with a spring in their step and a good attitude and cheerful and then I see some of em in wheelchairs, missing feet, legs, toes, and fingers, sitting in a daze unaware of their surroundings and apathetic I asked my doctor what was the difference in those people he told me that the one missing limbs and toes are the ones who don't manage their diabetes. They don't take the initiative to stay on top of their disease and won't do anything unless a doctor makes em do it and the ones who were awake and chipper and mobile self manage their disease and take control of their lives and look at life as something to be conquered not vice versa so the take home message is that diabetes doesnt have to be the end of the world unless you allow it to be stay on top of it and we'll be praying for ya's |

Just another thank you for your prayers. Brandons sugar levels are within normal range now. They are talking about letting him come home tomorrow-That would be great we are both beat and ready to relax at home.
