We have a lot in common, Sis. I speak my mind and that tends to piss a lot of folks off. I don't see that aspect of my personality changing, so it's the single life for me it seems. I'm all for people speaking their mind. By all means I'd rather have the truth than some baked up false crap spewed simply to make me feel better. But I think its also how you speak your mind. Do you talk down to the person? How is the tone? Is it from the tone of a friend who cares? Or a parent or other authority figure? Big difference in the two. I totally agree, no one likes to be talked down too, even if they are right!!! There is a way to say something, at least try |

OK here's a few more..
I'm 35 but I do the "I remember the old days when we did this" as if I were 75. I prefer Apple over WIndows. As the two above said.. I despise the doing dishes. I did them during 10 years of marriage because ex wife refused to even split that job. I am very uncomfortable around large groups of people. |

I find, I'm having to lift my moobs to wipe the sweat out from under them and they flop when I run.  Stolen from, justaguy2112. I was too lazy to type it all out again.  Ok. Here goes. I am kinda opinionated. I can be pretty loud at times. I live cheap but still have some relatively nice stuff. If a woman told me it was " either me or the dog "...the dog stays. I am sarcastic. I'm a cynic. I am kinda lazy when it comes to cleaning out my car. I clean my house when it starts to bug me. I despise doing dishes. Make me laugh and you'll probably steal my heart. You can't steal someone's personality....

So we have all these threads pointing out the flaws of the opposite gender. Are we all looking for perfection when we really know there is no such thing? I know myself..very well, and am well aware of my quirks. Some that may be deal breakers as far as a relationship... I've raised a family alone and am very independent, and use to being the boss. I'm a paycheck to paycheck single mom. I'm menopausal, and have my b!tch moments. I'm not a Christian. I dabble with Tarot Cards, Full Moon fires, energy healing's.. things that come off as strange to some. I am protective of my sons, even though they are grown up. I like to sleep in and if I don't get to, I like naps. I don't really like to cook. I'm no Suzi home maker, my house is never completely clean and always have a pile of laundry. I'm opinionated. I'm super-sensitive and cry...nothing has to be wrong, I just feel what others feel. I'm more of a listener than a talker, I won't always say what I'm thinking or feeling. I will if asked... I don't like my mother. I'm not into hunting and fishing..so I won't do that with a man. I don't take any shiit from anyone. I have saggy boobs. These are just a few of the things others may not like about me. I admit it..I'm not perfect. So you really think your the perfect catch? What are some of your quirks that would turn someone off? But...the real question is.....Do you do it on the first date???

I can be very neurotic about the stupidest things.
I hate the idea of money, I wish we could go back to trading goods and services. I hate people invading my hoola-hoop space. I'm not a touchy feely kind of person. I love to cook, but hate cleaning up afterwards. I'm addicted to my career path and would live in the newsroom if I they installed a shower and bed. I hate feet. I am a movie junkie and could probably talk movies for hours. My friends say I am the most hard-headed person they have ever met. That's all I can think of for now

I'm a forever dad, and do still make my kids a priority, at times..
I never try to judge anyone. I'm open to most of any,,life has to throw at me.. I worry if told small lies, as they tend to grow into giants in my mind. Born again, yet not to show that part of me much. I live pretty much paycheck to paycheck. I feel that talking can cure many moods, to feel better.. Consider myself a realist and live to express that. As life is very short and frigile,,my daily goals and ways, are to live happy. But to be real here, if there is no taker, who really cares about the product.......wink

L, I love this thread. Being real about myself is very empowering.
I am super analytical, I need data. I am a clean freak and can't stand clutter. I need time with my thoughts before I can figure out an answer. I am vulnerable emotionally but hide it through humor. I worry about everything. (kids, finances, the future) I'm not very spontaneous. Too independent for my own good and hate asking for help. I'm not a good cook but do it so my kids don't starve. I internalize everything. I am a smoker. How I see myself is not how others see me but my perception is my reality. I think inappropriate things are funny. Don't talk to me until I've had my coffee. I do sometimes put out on the first date. (just for Goof) I don't want someone who is perfect, just someone who knows me and likes me anyway.

You can't steal someone's personality.... If you are a friend, you can count on me, if I am capable. I protect mine with my life. If you're right, I'll back you all the way even if I might not agree. From smoking all those years, I have ED. I have COPD, chronic bronchitis, and asthma. Take a lot of meds, (prednisone), oxygen, nebulizer. I stay active even if I can't move as fast as I used to. I'd love to be at a state of health where I could be a whole partner to some gal. Is that what you was lookin' for, Baby Girl? |
