Ok so about a month ago I deactivated my facebook account. I really did like it but it seemed so time consuming trying to keep up with everyone. Add privacy issues and drama to that and it wasn't a hard decision to make. Today I thought maybe I can try to ease back into this... logged in, checked a few things and decided to deactivate right away before anyone could see I was on. I think it actually gave me anxiety. I guess I just can't handle people being all up in my business in that way. noway

It will probably be enough that
we are in your business :-)

Nice, Thorb.

I only allow people I know, or know through talking with friends. I don't let total strangers on, and have started flipping into their profile and doing a block/spam/type of thing and they can no longer see my info. I've only got it at friends who can view, and weed through it once a month and clear any non-participating folks. I keep it down to about 130-ish people.

I enjoy the day to day stuff, but get real tired of the apps. I block/hide them as fast as I can.

I have a facebook page and refuse to post to it. I should probably deactivate - people drive me crazy with games and then they're always trying to give me friends I don't know. I just don't go in it.

I have a facebook account but I only add people I actually know. That way I can catch up with friends and relatives from around the country and the world, without it I'd probably lose touch with them all. Yes there are games which drive me crazy in the live feed but there are ways around it. I don't use it for dating because the whole world knows what you're doing but for contact with friends it is irreplaceable for me..

My daughter is really heavy into it. I have people call me to ask about things she did - and I'm clueless LOL. She lives with me, but guess I should check HER facebook more often.

I have like 109 friends on mine....and if you are on mine, then it is for good reason. In a one week span, I had about 12 or so single chicks requesting me as a friend. I had no clue who any of them were, but based on their profile pics, I could tell they wanted to "get to know me". Not a bad thing mind you. But, I have family members on their who do not need to see slutty pics. I am sure they will disagree, but Uncle Goof will not be held accoutable. Haha!

Anyways, I have mine hidden and I only accept or invite people that I want to. Facebook is a great tool to use for keeping in touch. And that is what I do with it.

I just recently got one. Hell the only thing that keeps me occupied over there are the games. I post some on the forums but to those I know either through this site or my family.

I did take on a few for neighbors on the games and actually have started talking to a few once in a while.

I don't let the drama follow. If they are known to carry on drama I don't add them. That is the same regardless if they are friends or even family. I have a nephew that I will not add on facebook due to the Drama he creates... No use for it..

The way I see it is get rid of the ones that bring on the drama. And don't post your whole life on there. Shshhs so many of them will just about tell ya when they have to go to the bathroom.laugh laugh laugh slaphead

I have a FB account under my real name.
Just for family.
Maybe old friends.

Mingle is my social site :-)
Separation seems to be a good thing.

I deleted my SpaceFace account a while back. Can you believe they're making a movie about Facebook now? Really? Are you serious? rofl They must be hurting for ideas. I think Mike Judge should make a prequel to Idiocracy and have it take place in present day. bigsmile

for me it's like a phone book. I have found high school friends there that I lost contact with and didn't know how to find them otherwise.

It's also a mass way of sharing pictures and things in your life rather than sending emails out to everyone laugh
