They did a poll on Palin supporters.
At 33 %, they were prdominately GED educated or below.

It is interesting to note that Palin has a 33% approval rating in Alaska, and in every other state where polling on her was done, she has negative numbers as well. Apparently the American people are weary of her uninformed opinions and sniping at the heels of people who actually are, y'know, working to help this country.

Another poll revealed that Palin's most ardent supporters are Americans who completed their GED only and those who did not.

Smart people don't respond to polls...

to busy taking care of business.

OMG I this is like claiming that people that believe in Obama are all drug dealers and pimps...

Some people have no concept of the low bar.

Preferring to slide below it most of the time.

No it isn't!

There are no statistics saying anything like that at all.

No Polls, No Anything.

Here's something worth posting more than once.

If they close the border none of those arrested can get back in...

which is why these raids don't work... few months and they will be right back here.

CLOSE THE BORDER...round em up... ship the baduns back...

I am surprised it took this long for the attacks on Palin to begin.

I can't be a part of this BS.
I supported the same 2007 comprehensive immigration reform bill that Obama does.
It does not give total amnesty to illegals. It only gives a path for those already here to become legal. It gives nothing but an opportunity. It will not be easy and it would not be free. I thought it was a fair deal, but the Repubs killed it.
They, the Repubs, would rather change everything this country is about by attacking the laws concerning citizenship of those born here.
I can not be a part of this.
Esp since the same ones who advocate doing so are the ones who turned their back on enforcing the current immigration laws so that their rich constituents could have an unlimited supply of cheap labor.
I guess they fear that these children will naturally become Americanized and expect better pay and working conditions than were given to their illegal parents.
We need to give the illegals already here a path to citizenship and at the same time stop the influx of more illegal immigration just to satisfy the employers wish for cheap slave labor.
The 2007 Comprehensive immigration bill accomplished all this. Hopefully Obama will bring it back.

Again pure idealology and not based upon real world conditions, as well as history! We tried this remember the 1980's and ronald reagan? It only incouraged more illegal immigration! The issue is a corrupt Mexican government and slack American law enforcement! Why the American governmnt has failed to act is on both sides of the aisle on this issue. A right wing "pro farmers that want cheap labor" and a left wing "we feel bad for poor mexicans so lets exploit them for votes" kinda deal going on! The loser is an exploited mexican illegal without true citizenship and the American worker flipping the bill! It is a bad idea and will not work! All we need to do is begin arresting people who employ illegals and deporting the ones we find breaking the law with stringent diplomacy with Mexico on the issue of corruption and aide! Not a problem that will be solved over night but remove the incentive and they will leave on their own!

Wrong Chaz, it was Bush, H.W.! He gave them total amnesty.
The 2007 comprehensive immigration bill would not have given total amnesty.
It actually made it quite hard for them, The head of the household would have had to leave the country for 1 year, they would have had to register their personal info, and it would have cost them aprx. $5000 USD each for back taxes.

I've thought for a bit. The kids are better off here than in the war zone of Mexico. Personally I would rather help them have a better life rather than die as a teenager.

thats an assumption that all or most kids are from a 'war zone'

parents are responsible for their children, the community is an EXTENSION of the parents responsibility not the replacement for it

if adults want a better life, they need to do it the LEGAL Way, whether they are doing it for themself or their child

you seem interested in logic and thought on this issue,

I have considered the same drastic measure for drastic times,,as hard as it is to hear from a culture that has become so accustomed to excess and glutton

perhaps we could freeze it all, spending and the borders, until we get our finances and our immigration in order

and amend the constitution to link children and their parents so that parents have responsibility for their children unless the parents are residents here

that way, those from here on out who are VISITING will be responsible for going back home and taking responsibility for their children when they do.....

maybe we could also transfer the effort we spend on managing the borders and illegal immigration and place it instead on the follow up of visitors visas to ensure people are leaving on time, as promised when they enter the country

Have you read the 2007 Comprehensive Immigration Bill Harmony?

It actually raises money.

Probably not if you count the money spent securing the border.

I would seriously question the veracity of that data.for example NV has the highest unemployment rate in the nation, the highest foreclosure rate, the state budget is in shambles, state workers are on forced furlough days. What criteria did they use to rank AK second worst after CA?

If we started an 'ellis island' operation along the southern border (would take between 7 and 10 processing stations - and some 'active' border patrol) the 'smuggling' would die to a trickle... Much safer way of entering = more people comming in the right way.
