So, I have thrown in the towel as far as dating and relationships. I am not angry or sad as I just don't care. So I am curious if you have given up on finding someone or are you still keeping your dream alive of finding your soulmate. Enquiring minds want to know.  I say THAT,,because THAT has happened here already about four times,,so what the hell is Five,,,,wink... I'm a realist in the sense that one day,,I will meet a Lady who can just simply love me, want me, need me, and want to really KNOW ALL OF ME..as we go on through life together... Its not really that tough a real thing to find,,its just that finding that ONE in a pack of fifty,,who is THAT,,,one.... I know ONE THING FOR SURE,,,,,If I STOP THINKING of LOVE, I'll lose my desire to find Love,,,and as I have lived most of my life INLOVE The flip side is like a constant void,,,as life and smiles and opinions,conversations,,,all end inside my mind,w/o someone to share THAT with.....Good luck to finding a solid Peace inside you, that allows your mind and heart to feel GREAT about YOU...

...and all i got was a cheap paper towel,you know the one at the end of the roll.. no matter how careful you are you still wind up tearing the darn thing...  ...tombs predicts: within the next 6 months the one you seek will find you navygirl

I have not desire to seek anyone out as its just a waste of time. Sorry my dear but no time for anyone but me and I prefer it that way. |

..yes ..but i did not predict that YOU would find them,but that THEY would find you..sounds to me that in keeping with your full schedule and expanding your horizons that you will not be seeking and isn't that when they say you are more likely to happen upon the one you want..when you're not looking..just a thought..just a prediction..sounds to me that there will be alot more avenues for the one who seeks you..to find you..happy thoughts navygirl |

I just prefer not to be involved with anyone. I want to come and go as I please; not have to call when I am late; not pretend that I can't do something to stroke a guy's ego, not have to go to places I can't stand to make him happy, and I just refuse to compromise. So yes, a relationship would mess up my life not enhance it. I learned that 20 years ago. I hope things go well for you too. Cheers. |

I don't believe in the 'soul mate' concept. I feel complete in myself and I don't feel I need to have someone to "complete" me like a soul mate. I don't think of it as "giving up" on anything. At this point I'm more interested in learning the secrets of the universe and the finding balance and good health and learning to be more creative and enjoying life to the fullest. There is something to be said about being free. I hate to sound 'negative' about relationships but sometimes they can have a way of taking the wind out of your sails - as two people attempt to find someone as perfect for them as they feel they deserve (or want) and they proceed to go about trying to change each other... Only making each other miserable. I believe that as we evolve spiritually we are meant to find less of a need for a member of the opposite sex in order to give our lives meaning. We are never really alone when we make a connection to our inner being which I believe is also a connection to all that exists. Very well said. I feel the same way that you don't need anyone to complete you. I feel exactly the way you described; I like being free and honestly relationships take too work for me, to much of my time, too much compromise. I never thought of evolving spiritually but I agree I certainly have found less of a need of having a man in my life. When I look back on it; I was never truly happy in a relationship; I was always happiest single. Thanks for your very intelligent insight on this topic. me me me - I'll take a soulmate I think when you meet someone who is great in bed and and easy to talk to - you've found a treasure and if they can keep it fun and refrain from moaning and groaning about "making it work" and over analyzing everything to death (note: the word "anal" in analyze) - then it might be worth cohabitating - nuthin says lovin like sumthin in the oven  |
