Well, I refuse to name my kids with a name that would haunt them in school. i believe it's a parent's responsibility to do all they can to NOT mess up their kids. first an foremost it starts with a name. a child's name is the easiest thing for others to poke fun at without ever having to get to know the child and therefore should be one that commands respect and admiration. any combination of a city name or holiday and a season or weather event is a no no. . . . "Holiday" .... ? Holiday Rock

Holiday Rock a girl i know named her daughter phoenix rain that's a stripper name if i ever heard one. then there's suzanne summer's character name from 3's company - Christmas Snow - not a real name(could be). i just wish people would use a little common sense. . . . |

my parents wnt to school with twins one name was Ima and the other one name was youra...who would name kids these horrible names you ask..some with the las name Hogg..Imma Hogg and Youra Hogg..lol..that is so awful

So when you decide to have kids and have to choose a name for them we have names we would like to use but do we ever think of names to NOT use for our own? Well, I refuse to name my kids with a name that would haunt them in school. Boys: Gayland, Sue, Richard, Summer Wind (I actually met someone who hated "Flower Children" becasue of his name. We called him Steve until we found out what his real name was. His mom was a Hippie and that was the name she gave him and he regretted it! We stuck with Steve.) Girls: Loretta, Easy, Flo... So what are names you would refuse to give your kids? There are three.............#1 Barack #2 Hussein #3 Obama............

That's the kind of name I would not choose. |

Definitely gotta give them a name everybody with a little sense could spell..I am surrounded by people whose names I can barely pronounce, let alone spell.
While I like my name, I would not give it to my daughter simply because of all the different ways to mispronounce it...I don't really think it is that hard, but apparently it is. Definitely cannot name my son Sue...he might try to kill me in a bar one day ....or Richard (Dick)...just too much fun to be had |

I like odd names..names I know that not many others will have..I have names for children that I probably won't ever have..lol..but I got names for them just in case..lol. |

I wouldnt name them after automobiles
lamborghini, coupe, mercedes,,etc,, I wouldnt name them after drinks chardonnay, covossier,et,,, I wouldnt name them something that is spelled differently than it should sound geregg(pronounced greg) or antoine (pronounced, an tone),,,etc,,, |
