I don't think I suggested that anyone could have "absolute freedom."

But we should have reasonable freedom.

Freedom to come and go, to conduct our business, freedom of speech, freedom to vote for who we want to represent us, freedom to protect ourselves from criminals, freedom to believe and worship a God or not, etc. etc.

Yes there has to be rules and laws in any society.
The price for living in any society is that you respect their laws. But as a member of that society you should have the freedom to appose a law or change a law or protest against a law. It is your society and your laws. Not some dictator with riot police or an army who enforces laws made by that same dictator. That is not freedom.

Are they not both one and the same?

Babel get behind me.

many names, One reality.

Are you then saying that those who choose to call him Allah can not participate in a Founding Tradition of the United States of America.

Bah...

We Hold these Truths to be Self Evident...

Many Americans speak the Word Allah (when they speak of God) and are still AMERICANs.

OK ... Rant over.

huh... i take it you have never discussed this with a muslim? you should try it and see their veiws on it... while i'll agree with you, but i really think the muslims will see it differently...

The born again Zionist Christians are causing countless deaths by supporting Israel's ethnic cleansing and they are in support of the take over of land for Israel by conquest and war. Death is of innocent Muslims and is unimportant to them because they are worshipers of false Gods.

All in an effort to self fulfill Biblical myths so their mythical savior will return.

Christians support "Israel" (The Country or "State.")because of their incorrect interpretations from the Bible.

Here is a small sample:

We support Israel because all other nations were created by an act of men, but Israel was created by an act of G-D! The Royal Land Grant that was given to Abraham and his seed through Isaac and Jacob with an everlasting and unconditional covenant.

http://www.internationalwallofprayer.org/A-106-The-Apple-of-His-Eye-Why-Christians-Should-Support-Israel.html

What a crock!

Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, along with King David.... ARE ALL FICTIONAL CHARACTERS.

They never existed. Its all FICTION and myth.

Here is part of the insane ramblings of Pat Robertson:

Yes, the survival of the Jewish people is a miracle of God. The return of the Jewish people to the land promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is a miracle of God. The remarkable victories of Jewish armies against overwhelming odds in successive battles in 1948, and 1967, and 1973 are clearly miracles of God. The technological marvels of Israeli industry, the military prowess, the bounty of Israeli agriculture, the fruits and flowers and abundance of the land are a testimony to God's watchful care over this new nation and the genius of this people.

http://www.patrobertson.com/Speeches/IsraelLauder.asp

The people who claim to be Jews today are not related to any of the original people that lived there -- whoever they were-- 2000 years ago, and they don't have a "God given right" to invade a land and proceed with ethnic cleansing.

They are not the chosen people. Zionist supporting Christians need to wake up!

None of that Biblical stuff is relevant anyway and none of that gives anyone the right to move in and take that land by conquest and claim it as their own. Its bull crap plain and simple.

I am really sick of people using and mis-translating the Bible for their own twisted cause of aggression and ethnic cleansing.

It is purely and clearly INSANITY.

OP, American gov is a secular gov. God has no place in a secular system.

I think O did the right thing. Also, if he mentioned God, people would wonder which god he was thinking of. The muslims have a god and the Christians have one, and they are certified not to be the same, that's why the wars. If god was truly just one, then all religious wars in the entire story of man would be rendered silly, and that is one thing no Christian lionhearted man would stand for or tear apart with his teeth.

Do you have freedom of speech near a presidential candidate addressing the public without being escorted to a "free speech zone" that is actually a holding area/prison?

These things were utilized in the Bush campaign. People wearing any T-shirts or carrying signs that apposed Bust were escorted off and put into an enclosed area. They were not given water to drink. Legally, they were place under arrest.

***

Do you have the freedom to assemble 50 or more people without paying for a "permit?" Do we have to pay for exercising our right to assemble now?

Didn't we pay for our freedom when we went to war?

no, that would be an example of a freedom that may necessarily infringe upon someone elses

for the sake of order and potential safety, Im sure I may need to be seated in specifically designated areas and probably will need to be fairly respectably quiet so that the speaker can be heard and recorded without unnecessary interference and noise.

as to being enclosed without water? were they there over night or something? why should they be provided water?

I have the freedom to assemble in certain places depending upon whether they are private or public or the conditions under which it is maintained, paid for, and by whom,,,,

I dont consider it paying for my right to assemble, I Consider it paying for the USE of anothers resources and time in order to have an assembly,,,
