It goes something like this! Obey me or I'll kill you! If you do,I still will! They had to be more subtle in the NT! So what do you think God should do for our disobedience? Smack our hands? Smack our butts? Put us in the corner? Maybe jail time? God is love. Agreed? (The Bible says this.) Love is Love. It is its own reward. Love does not do anything "to" us if we do not engage or choose to love. If you live in love, then that is all you need to do. Love will guide all of your actions to be "good." There is no disciplinarian sitting on some thrown in heaven waiting to smack our hands for "disobeying." In this world we have certain laws of cause and effect that go way beyond anything we can actually see. For your actions and thoughts you will attract like actions and thoughts. That is what is meant by "He who lives by the sword will die by the sword." What goes around comes back around. It is never ending. Your attitude and intentions towards others will determine what happens to you minute by minute. This law of vibration is mathematical and exact. There is no need for some God to be looking over our shoulder or writing commandments for us. This is a world of FREE WILL. You will make your own choices and you will reap the consequences. You will reap what you sow. That is how "God" works in this reality. That is how it is set up. Some think of God as our "Father" and they think that he will punish us for disobedience. This is not true. We have been granted free will. That means we must take responsibility for our thoughts and actions. When your children grow up and become of legal age, you can no longer punish them. They are adults. They are making their own decisions. They have free will. You can no longer insist that they obey you. As far as Eternal life, it either exists or it does not. No person can prove that there is any life or consciousness after the body dies, but I believe there is. People have died and been brought back and they have extraordinary experiences of their own consciousness after being dead. I saw a man on television last week who died for 45 minutes and was brought back to life. He had been brain dead and his heart had a massive heart attack. They had kept his body cold and he was restored to life with no brain damage. He described how he shot out of his body when it fell to the floor and he said his experience was difficult to describe. It is the way the Church puts this message out to the people that is confusing. It goes out using fear of death and hell and it is not logical that a loving God would try to make such a bargain. So I don't give much weight to the message of the church because it is so misunderstood. I do understand it in my own way. To choose "God" means to choose "Good." God = Good. To chose God is to choose love. God = love. To chose God is to choose life. You must want to live. God = life. If your immortal soul does not want to live, then it may get its wish and be recycled into minimal conscious universal energy. If your immortal soul wants to live and chooses life, and good and Love, then it will graduate to the next state of being. That is my interpretation. JB,This IS the BEST summation i've come across!! Now,why not be a preacher?? One time,back in early 2000s,J.Meyer came to Uganda,to preach! She stayed at the best hotel we had here at that time-Sheraton Kampala Hotel....this IS one of the hygienic hotels in the country- i know so! I watched at Meyer sanitised her hands after handshakes from host pastors,eating food from the tins/bottles,not allowing the housekeeping staff to take her washing(she didnt want her laundry done in Uganda)-all because of.........??? If/when you have God=Love how do you treat your neighbor?? How do you treat others-especially those less advantaged than you are?? I agree,God IS love,treat them as you would want to be treated! Each and every person will have their own understanding of God and Love and will be a minister to others. There will be no single religion. Love will be the basis for all things. I don't know if that will happen here on this earth in my lifetime, but that is the golden age that is coming. The only thing to focus on is love, and that is the only guide you need. When you feel love, you will be love and you will do good. |

And no, cause someone's car breaks down or any possible "tragedy" that may occur, that is not God punishing a certain person(s) for something they did or didn't do. He treat us fairly. God give us ten commandments yet we still disobey. Did we die. NO, NOT YET. There is time for judgement. We still have time to repent. By their disobedience it justs closes the gate of heaven. It reopened when GOD send His son on earth. The death of him gives us the chance to enter heaven again. How many times did you disobey? Yep that fluffy cloud with a castle floating on it just beneath the "firmament"is now back open for business because a renegade rabbi named jesus died for your sins......riiiiight? Problem is i don't accept that a renegade rabbi died for my sins cause i don't accept i can sin because i don't accept the abrahamic trilogy faith.I accept it's all bullsh i t.I don't choose to believe i either accept it or i don't. |
