So if this "God" created humans, and he demands that they must obey him or they will suffer the penalty of death, then this actually give weight to the theory that God is an alien who came to the earth and created humans as slaves to work in the gold mines.

God is an alien?

Well, let's see, he's not human. (Check)
He's not from the earth. (Check)
He created humans and tells them to obey or die. (check)

That sounds about right. God is an alien.

He made humans as slaves. Or maybe as pets.

In any case, whether you are a slave or a pet, you better obey God or you will be put down.

so,where is the free will?

Consciousness. The more aware you are, the more free will you be able to use...

Ignore the slave masters.

Freedom is paramount.

Only humans treat us (master-slave)like that.

Wrong.

God wants you to obey right?

He wants you to obey or else the penalty is death right?

That is a slave - master relationship right there.

He treat us fairly. God give us ten commandments yet we still disobey. Did we die. NO, NOT YET. There is time for judgement. We still have time to repent. By their disobedience it justs closes the gate of heaven. It reopened when GOD send His son on earth. The death of him gives us the chance to enter heaven again. How many times did you disobey?

What I mean by a master slave relationship is:

Think of the stories in the Bible. The story of Joshua who was allegedly told by God to go into the promised land and kill all the women, men, and children without mercy. No mercy.

Okay they did this, according to the Bible, and killed many Kings and they cut of the heads of the Kings in all the lands. This is the story in the book of Joshua.

Now eventually, the alleged "chosen people" got tired of killing everyone and they took pity on them and they disobeyed Joshua and they started showing mercy and instead of killing the people they took them as slaves and even as wifes. As long as the slaves were good slaves and obeyed their masters, they were allowed to live.

That Master-slave relationship also exists between humans and God because God supposedly gave humans "life" but he told humans that we must obey him or else the wages of that sin is death.

And of course we are all sinners who disobey, so we are all destined to die instead of living forever as Adam and Eve were supposed to do.

But apparently if we accept Jesus as our savior, allowing him to die for us, our souls will be taken into heaven and we can live forever serving God. In other words, be slaves to this alien God forever in the after-life.

The alternative is the threat that we will go to hell.

So once again, we endure what I view as extortion and threats from this kind and loving God.

He gives humans a choice.... love and serve him or die, love and serve him or spend eternity in hell.

Nice guy.

Apparently "dying" was not a bad enough threat and that is why the church invented eternal hell.

Now let me give you a comparison. If a man puts a gun to your head and tells you to choose to serve him and love him or else he will shoot you dead, could you or would you really be able to love him? Sure you could serve him, but could you love a person under the threat of torture and death?

I think some people would rather chose death.

It is the way the Church puts this message out to the people that is confusing. It goes out using fear of death and hell and it is not logical that a loving God would try to make such a bargain.

So I don't give much weight to the message of the church because it is so misunderstood.

I do understand it in my own way. To choose "God" means to choose "Good." God = Good.

To chose God is to choose love.

God = love.

To chose God is to choose life. You must want to live.

God = life.

If your immortal soul does not want to live, then it may get its wish and be recycled into minimal conscious universal energy.

If your immortal soul wants to live and chooses life, and good and Love, then it will graduate to the next state of being.

That is my interpretation.

I like your interpretation about God. Correction in the one you said."we can live forever serving God." we can live with God in heaven where pure happiness and contentment lies. I didnt memorize the bible. When i read it i will try to understand the storY, not to pick up any verse and make a question out of it. It is nonsense for me to tell that most of those who asked me are well versed. If you do not understand read again. This discussion to me is like tying a rope to a tomato plant to pull it off the ground, where you can just pull it off by your own hands.

Doing what?

I don't know about you, but laying around in pure happiness and contentment for eternity seems like it would be pretty monotonous after a while.

Nope, that's not my idea of heaven. I can lay around in pure happiness and contentment here. LOL

Now I will poor me a glass of wine and get into a bubble bath... ahhhh. pure happiness and contentment.

May i ask who created you? God created everything. He created the angels and humans in his image and likeness with free will. He saw it his creation perfect not after adam and eve commited sin( original sin).
so,what was the original sin?

Den,
The jury rested BEFORE we got told!!
To this day,the ''original sin'' is all still in speculation and guess work!!

Original sin was a concept developed by St. Augustine. There is no original sin in the Jewish faith.

JB,This IS the BEST summation i've come across!! Now,why not be a preacher??
One time, back in early 2000s,J.Meyer came to Uganda,to preach! She stayed at the best hotel we had here at that time-Sheraton Kampala Hotel....this IS one of the hygienic hotels in the country- i know so! I watched at Meyer sanitised her hands after handshakes from host pastors, eating food from the tins/bottles,not allowing the housekeeping staff to take her washing(she didnt want her laundry done in Uganda)-all because of.........??? If/when you have God=Love how do you treat your neighbor?? How do you treat others-especially those less advantaged than you are??
I agree,God IS love, treat them as you would want to be treated!

It goes something like this!
Obey me or I'll kill you!
If you do,I still will!

They had to be more subtle in the NT!

So what do you think God should do for our disobedience? Smack our hands? Smack our butts? Put us in the corner? Maybe jail time?

First, one has to grasp what this life is about. This life is about getting back to being right with our creator. Adam and Eve eg., man and woman was created in the Garden of Eden. They disobeyed God, thus was kicked out of the paradise.

Out of the kindness of God's heart, God has given us a second chance to return to existing in his direct presence and being in the paradise eternally.

We're already going to die when we're born. When we are born, we are dying, every second we're alive is a second closer to death. God offers eternal life through obedience to a few things, cause there's truly not all to much to abide by.

And actually, it goes beyond that. God wants our love, period. And our love is shown in our obedience to him. We don't obey because we're "instructed" to or "forced" to. We obey God out of love and wanting to obey God.

James 2:14-19
King James Version (KJV)
14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
