Just curious, I get friend requests I accept but no one ever talks after that.

I do not really understand what the purpose is of someone being a friend except to have access to their friends and their favorites. Maybe I am wrong.

This is a question i have asked myself many times
I used to never have a friends list
Because it always seems to be like that when you do
I think folks friend or accept friends with the best intent
But it is hard to find the time with real world stress and
with all the interaction here when you do find the time to spend a few
I myself can be a real jackass at times so i don't really have a problem with being overrun by friend requests
lol
But i do still consider many of you wonderful folks to be my friends...

You'd have to ask them that. We can only guess why they send you friend requests, but then don't talk afterward.

E-mail is a requirement to make it to My People's list.

I've emailed all of the people on My People's list a number of times throughout the years.smokin

I get a lot of friend requests from younger guys but I just delete them as I am not interested.

IDK. The people on my friends list are people that I actually e-mail/ have an on-line friendship with. I don't usually accept a Friend Request unless I've started connecting with them.

People keep friending me to ask how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop, but I never know the answer.

Most of the people on my friends list I know from the forums or email. I do accept requests from newbies to make them feel better.

What difference does it make? They can email you. I am so new and do not understand the advantages or disadvantages so I have not accepted very many friend requests

Say if you put a filter on your mail stopping at age 60 I could not write you. But if you are on my friends list I can. I don't see where it hurts myself. But I'm not a woman who has to worry about stalkers either.
