I love Europe, Island Life, American National Parks, Rock-n-Roll, etc. I also have loved seeing The Biggest Ball of Twine in Osbourne, KS. A bagpipe/juggling act that came through town. Americana Statues along Route 66. Street performers who play "the saw" with a violin bow. Natives who makes rock sculptures that the tide will knock down in hours...... ...etc. What "weird" do YOU like? |

...a couple of dutiful Scandinavian Grandsons who wanted to honor Gramp's wishes of "Cryogenics", by putting him on ice in a shed, in the High Rockies. The festival is a blast!!! |

Love it...dig Americana and chicks butts too!!!!!
 Except when we're in a tiff.....then I actually notice the buffalo's, biker's and politician's butts. I hate being in a tiff! |

I loved New Zealand!
The big clouds in New Zealand. The accents in New Zealand. I loved checking out all the different cultures in New Zealand. I loved the attention I got in New Zealand because they loved my accent. Do Indiana people have an accent? What the hell am I doing in Indiana? I want to live in New Zealand!!!! |

What "weird" do YOU like? I like it when we have beef tongue or pork snout for lunch. I like pickled eggs if they're quail eggs. I like mountain climbing, going to extreme heights and shouting from the peaks...but my knees don't have any idea on how to get me back down. |

Walking out on encrusted lava as the molten lava travels underfoot and watch as the lava flows into the sea,spewing clouds of smoke and steam , watching new land being created in front of your eyes! and then walking back at dusk and actually seeing the lava flowing through the cracks, glowing red and hot, ominous and awesome at the same time. The big island, Hawaii. Amazing!

off the beaten path?
I love to see wildflowers in bloom along the highway snow in the ground before anyone walks on it but off the beaten path??? I have to say I will hike strenuous trails and/or climb ravines to see a bird, an eagle's nest or a rare warbler done it B4, I'll do it again (always within the refuge rules BTW) I know a couple real good 2nd hand music shops kinda off the beaten path .... and an ice cream place a little off the beaten path as well that is pretty special :) |

Studying serial killers, and of recent mass murderers...I sit in the corner of the library reading a biographical book on Ed Gein, Jeffrey Dahmer, or Dennis Rader. One day I'll crack the code. Have you read about The Butcher of Rostov? He was a peculiar read, though Dahmer was equally unusual. I have also read and watched documentaries about the predecessors of present day serial killers like Gilles de Rais and Countess Elizabeth Bathory, who made modern serial killers pale by comparison due to the numbers of their victims, simply because their status in life made it possible for them to continue for a long period of time. |
