When I was a child, I would dream I could fly. I would always fly in the same general area in town.

I wouldn't fly very high. Just over the power lines. Didn't want to get tangled up in them.

I would always light on the big clock outside the bank.

I realized I was a watcher. An observer. Always on the outside looking in.

Once I found my self worth the I never had that dream again.

What were some of your reoccuring dreams? What did you learn from them?

Another one, I would be very afraid and running from a tiger.

Never figured that one.

Ya, the dream was that I'm standing on top of a skyscraper. Someone push me from behind, I'm falling. When I turned to check who it was, it was me! Don't know what that mean. Pardon me for my bad english. Hope you get what I mean to say.

Funny, I have flying dreams too, but I've only had one of going near power lines and being afraid of being electrocuted.

Supposedly flying dreams are some sort of indication of sexual desire, but I sincerely doubt it. I always feel a sense of freedom and peace when flying and they are my favorite type of dream. When a flying dream comes on I always think "all right!! I get to fly!" and I know I'm dreaming. LOL I'm sure I'm smiling in my sleep!

Funny similarity about the power lines... Probably has something to do with some insecurity in life, like a rocky relationship with a friend, or starting a new job, or taking a class or whatever.

Krishk, maybe you're trying to push yourself in a new direction? Wanting to get away from an unsatisfying job or something. That one is pretty intense!!

I think you are right. I quit my job(unwillingly) to join my dad's company.

Yep; flying dreams are the greatest and I always feel well rested. My other reoccurring dream is I am driving into a large estate which is my house that has a pool, hot tub, and a double garage with a Ford Escape in front of it. The place looks sort of like a Mexican villa and in back of the house, I have a balcony that overlooks a small cliff with a view of the ocean. My bedroom is completely white and I walk out to the balcony a white housecoat with white slippers. I have a white patio set and I set down while someone brings me a coffee in a white cup. Never figured out what it the dream meant but I know I feel completely content in my dream. Funny thing is I just got rid of my white house coat but I do own a Ford Escape.

I had the flying dream a lot when I was a child. It was such an incredible feeling, that I always looked forward to having it again. I used to try to imagine flying as I drifted to sleep and sometimes it actually worked. I stopped having my flying dream when I was a teenager, but had a couple of short periods were it would come back a few times in my early twenties. I think it was ever better then, because of how long it had been since I had flown.

Ironically, I have a bit of a fear of flying in an airplane, but seemed to be perfectly fine about doing it without one.

Every since my Dad passed away in 08 I have been dreaming about him. It always turns out the same, we always end up fighting and I end up telling him that he will never see me again.
I mean these dreams are very upsetting to me but the only thing I can figure out is because I can't see him right now? We never fought when he was still with us so I can not figure out why I keep dreaming this.
The only good thing is that I get to see him BUT I wake up feeling terrible.
I love you Dad...until we meet again, ANGEL KISSES!!! flowers

Sometimes I dream I'm on the wall of a city gilded in gold. The wall is huge like twenty stories high. In the ceneter of the city is a castle. The gold fades the farther you go down until at street level its just a grimy brick surface. Out side to wall is a barren desert with no sign of civilization. There is a road on the wall and I am always being chassed by something on that road untill I wake up.

Oh yes; I do think of the house and the ocean. I truly think that is where I will find my inner peace.

I had flying dreams too. I think it means you are trying to get free you feel held back by something.

I always have a dream where everyone I know is floating in water but it's on fire and they are hanging on to debris all calling me and I get scared because I can't save them all but I want too. I feel overwhelmed and I don't know where to start....pretty much like my life now hahaha.

I was also raised by Christians and think of the lake of fire and I wonder why they are all in there if such good Christians and why I am saving them when I am the wayward child?

Thank you willing...I am sure when I get to Heaven my Dad will ask me why I was dreaming those crazy dreams. It is funny how we have dreams that make no sense at all.
I know one day that I will be sitting with my Dad by the lake fishing and laughing again.
The nice dreams are when you have the dreams of them hugging you and you can actually smell them. The problem is that you NEVER want to wake up so the dream won't end.

I heard of someone who put on 10 stone because of a recurring dream, they kept dreaming of eating a 10 pound marshmallow, and when they woke up in the morning their pillow had gone. laugh

I would tell you about my flying dreams, -- I did that once before on mingle and certain people proceeded to make fun of me when I said I flew out of the dream and found myself (or my observer self) actually in space and I flew through the solar system.

Reoccurring dream: I dream about a house. Its usually the same house, and the condition of the house in the dream seems to reflect the condition of my life. When I was married and the marriage was in trouble, the house in the dream had a crumbling foundation.

When I dream of the house now, it needs repairs on the second floor and the roof.
