If any of you northern hemisphere type people are missing the snow....we are going to get it.

Babies don't thrive if they aren't touched. I don't think that ever stops! Sometimes we over use some of our senses to make up from lack in another. It's great that you are aware and have a new appreciation for it.

Welcome to my new thread, First and most importantly I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the person that suggested I do this.....you know you are, thank you. What you will find from here on in will be the honest, serious, genuine, more meaningful stuff and bigger picture galleries, items that when I post them in Mikeys man cave often get lost in amongst the fun and laughs.....I will still place them in there because I think they provide a nice balance between the laughs and fun being had, but even I was having trouble finding them in there. I would like a no ******** rule in this room. I welcome old, ex, new and newer members.....alright then newbies as well I am only interested in unabated honesty and truth, I will give it from the depths of my being.......and I want yours in return. It won��t be easy at times as I have never opened up till I came on here a few months ago. So I can��t break my own rule, so here goes, I came on here looking for fun and yes maybe a hookup or two, I got plenty of replies and it was good, then I discovered the forums, and here was my fun. I was having a ball cracking funnies, being silly, flirting, but like a creeping tide I found to keep up with people I was going to have open up a lot more. Well people embraced me, for the first time in my life there were people that wanted to hear what I had to say, and when I said it they listened.....wow.....the camaraderie extended to me and friendships offered to me has left me shell shocked. These developing friendships have made me reassess my reasons for being here, I mean I did have a slight hope that maybe I would find a likeminded soul here, but now I am convinced of that. These friendships are steps in my journey, that ultimately I hope will lead me to finding the one person worthy enough to share the rest of my life with. To all of my new friends and to friends in the making, yes you all know who you are. I will be forever grateful to all of you for coming into my life.  Beautiful. |

Alberta is lovely this time of year rain snow... and we only have had. a handful of warm nights.. where you can just walk around in a t-shirt... but not today.. scorching hot out.. and yes our Prairieland is beautiful.. the rolling hills.. rise up to kiss the mountains... our lakes are so crystal clear.. it is like looking into the pools of the deepest greenish blue eyes.. .. and the wildlife.. bears moose elk. deer... and the always elusive.. . single hottie lady ssss...lol.. honestly..

Hi Mikey,
You created this room for the honest and the brave. You set the example by opening up to us. Many have applauded you while others have warned of what may come. It echoes of real life where many of us want companionship and acceptance/love, yet are afraid to open up. For fear of being vulnerable. For fear of being hurt, rejected. Having our feelings stomped on. Sure that can happen here as in the outside world. (I don't call it the real world because that is to say the people here aren't real. And to me the friends I've made here are real). Sure, if we're careful we can shield ourselves from the hurts that may come. But we also hold ourselves away from the good that may happen. From the hope of a new dream. From the comfort of a new friend. From a heart that matches our own like it's the other piece of who we are. A heart that embraces others finds itself being loved by others in return.

Those of us who have nothing to hide can be open and honest in a forum and in the outside world.
Truth doesn't make us vulnerable. Who we are and what we have lived, good or bad won't weaken us by being shared. Some think that sharing leaves us open to predators. Possibly, but only if we jump into something too easily without getting to know what's around us. |

Those of us who have nothing to hide can be open and honest in a forum and in real life. I'm a private person if I want someone to know something I go to them...I just think everyone has their own way of communicating their feelings.....mine is direct to who I think is there for me.... |

Can you ever really be open and honest in the forums while so many watch...it's like being naked in public.... Being naked in public is very liberating........sometimes you have to do that to break the shackles of the past. Every one who writes in here honestly, will find it very liberating and will attract like minded people that admire their strength and bravery. Its a brave new world Tanzy. |
