I just read a profile that was titled "Hi..I'm only interested in perfect women" ...and I think he meant it not as a joke.

And what about the men who say Hi and stuff but then when you reply right away they say they're busy...whatever. And they don't read your profile they just look at the picture, it's obvious like for example when they ask your profession and it's in the profile, but you can see they looked at your profile.

What else has happend to you women here recently, I imagine it's mostly men who behave this way?

Nope, we men get similar things in our inboxes. Not gonna mention what I've read in profiles.

Let me just add, that it has led to hours of amusement. bigsmile

I particularly enjoy the 2 word, single syllable dialogues.
Soooo stimulating.

It wasn't the hi part..I mean they say hi when they're obviously not paying attention.

For example:

Them: Hi blah blah I would like to get to know you better blah blah..
Me (1 min later): Hello, I read your profile, have you read mine?..
Them (30 mins later): Ok
Me: Ok? So, you have read my profile?
Them: Oh sorry I was busy..what do you do for a living?
Me: Try talking to me when you're not so busy and read my profile first..
Them: Ok

I wasn't with them, I haven't even had a decent conversation with anyone (besides in the forums).
Anyway, it's just funny to me that someone starts a conversation and then it just stops. I would tell the other person I've got to go or whatever it is going on out of decency for the other human being on the other side...

Scammers are busy people. Usually have several fish on the line at the same time.
I use the term 'people' rather loosely here.grumble

Oh, well, I never use the Chat feature. Messaging is rather like emails. You send then you sit and wait, sometimes days for persons to get back to you. Especially if they are not on the forums. Some locals never log back in for months. Actually you were prolly lucky you had a live fish on the line.

And yes, I agree, most brain dead scammers do not read profiles. Or they are seriously not into dating.

Well you never know ms, could be the new Harry Potter, six books would make a nice series and they may even open a Mingle ride in Florida, much the same way as they have done with Harry Potter.
It could be called, Mingle Times, by JK msharmony lmao

I do get a bit fed up of people interested yet cannot take a few minutes to first read your profile. I stopped looking at photos...they blur together ..i just look at their catch line or username and if that is something I find interesting i delve deeper. One dating site i used..to find my hubby used a questionaire ..that you made up yourself ..and you decided what answer was correct. Then when people saw your profile and did your questionaire ..the results were sent to you. It was an interesting way to do it...and it worked... lol sort of...sigh

Sometimes conversation just takes off without even looking at someone's profile ..
Then you end up with a date, you then check his profile and find out he's a lot shorter
frustrated

Must admit that's one of the reasons I don't even bother anymore half the time.. Too much work checking a gazillion profiles to find one that is taller .. Think 90% aren't

After having similar experiences I concluded that they could be anything from time wasters to scammers. Most of them didn't even write their own profiles. I assume they made a decision to establish contacts based solely on profile photos.
If they didn't have time to read my profile why would they deserve my time? So, if there is any doubt, there are no doubts. I stop communication and ignore them, even block them if they turn out to be too persistent.
