The LA police department is opening up the case. This thing is not going to go away.. and it should not go away until the total truth is out. We are talking about a possible serial rapist. The public has the right to know if they have one (regardless of the offenders age) living amongst them. That is why we have the sex offender laws in place. That is why they have to register when they move. That is why you can go on the web and plug in your zip code and find out who in your area is a sex offender. To allow you to protect your family from that person. For some reason, his profession as a comic somehow changes some peoples perspective. It does not matter (and should never matter) who you are.. what color you are.. or what you do for a living. If a person committed these terrible acts upon women, they need to be held publically accountable for this and the victims need closure. Short of murder... rape is the most serious of crimes.. a disgusting act. A serial rapist is a animal, who needs to be flushed out into the public. If it was Bill Crosby the plumber.. there would not even be a thread on it. He would have been locked up long ago. You should not get a free ride because you beat the clock.. not with rape... and certainly not because you make people laugh for a living I agree with you ... I just was surprised they change the law like that ...didn't really think... legally they could ... no ...if he is guilty of this so be it ... very disturbing ... and sad at the same time ... becouse some grew up really loving him for entertaining us all these years ... the law makes sense, and that's from a rape 'victim' rape is VERY hard to prove,, when someone is accused it goes to trial and that's effort and money and prosecutors usually don't prefer to spend EITHER if they have little chance of MAKING THEIR CASE after a certain time, an accusation is just HEARSAY,, there is very little EVIDENCE that can back the claim up,, particularly if there were only TWO people present,,,, I believe there is no 'right' or magic number,, just like there isn't a magic age where people become mature but just as the law settled on 18 to determine legal status(though I would prefer it be set by the later of 18 or when one has been out of high school at least two years) it has settled on 7 years to charge someone with a rape and that's is a lot of years to just sit on it,, and every year that passes makes it impossible to prove any longer,, see, this is what I mean about an inherent perception I believe my experience as a sexual assault VICTIM trumps my race in this instance, and I'm not going to come to the 'defense' of any one that I believe to be a rapist whatever their race and as I said before, whomever was being accused, I would still have the same to say about women who made no claim for twenty or thirty years and who CONTINUED a relationship with the alleged rapist after the alleged assault ,,,its less than credible,,,, tp://www.chicagotribune.com/entertainment/chi-beverly-johnson-bill-cosby-1986-20141211-story.html the latest woman to come forward is Beverly Johnson, a accomplished actress and model. It is a very interesting article in the sense that she was not actually raped by Bill Crosby, but she is stating that she was in fact drugged and managed to get away before a assault took place. This in 1986, while auditioning for a spot on the Crosby show. You have to ask yourself why someone like this would lie.. why?...she has been successful thru the 80's & 90's.. and continues to be.. so the gold digger theory does not seem to apply. As stated weeks ago, the list of women is not done.. far from it. neither is the time stamp. Read the article... very interesting I for one am glad it is all coming out in the open. |

No mention of scandal, trouble with the law or any other issue that would bring question to her character. But you do. And you have what to back that up? On Her accomplishments?.. her character? as they seem impressive to me based on the various articles written on her the last few days. Has Wikipedia missed something of interest.. something that would validate you minimalizing her accomplishments and downplaying her life as you so blatantly tried to do. I don't care to review, Im fairly confident research the hits she has had LATELY in terms of people taking an INTEREST in her ,,,to the hits she was having BEFORE this,,, and that renewed interest in her on a PUBLIC level is as good as payment especially since the allegation here is that he slipped her a drug, but she escaped any rape,,,, I didn't attempt to label her as a gold digger, simply stated a fact that when people are used to a spotlight and haven't had it for a while they can seek it in strange ways |
