I have some wisdom to share in these forums and some people need to respect that people have different opinions..so don't waste your time patronizing me. I will share what I think just like everyone else whether you can respect that or not.
just trying to help, so are others.

Estelle, you have mentioned seeing a marriage counselor before marriage ? As far as i am aware, those people are seen when an existing marriage has problems that they both struggle to resolve. As with your thoughts on dating before marriage, wouldn't seeing a counselor take the nature out of a relationship before it has begun properly ? In effect,it means you are adding a middleman because you are both unable to communicate,so marriage should be out of the question if you lack the chemistry, friendship, and openness so early in a relationship.
As far as seeing a counselor goes in general, might i suggest that you see some kind of therapist quite soon ? I don't mean this as an insult, but everything said by the good people of the forums is clearly falling on deaf ears with your blinkered view of men time and time again.I do hope you find some help, and realise that using such words as 'some' before you say 'men' with such attacks might actually draw the many good men that exist, towards you instead of your thoughts and words being a repellent.
Good luck Estelle

I hate to be blunt with you..... but it is not 'wisdom' that you are sharing if you go on like this! You are inviting scorn and ridicule on your posts, and dragging the rest of the other 'women' into the mud!

You also have to respect that most of us are also sharing our experiences, and you can't even imagine what some of us have gone thru, my dear!

You have only 1 kid....I have 4 kids, and I am holding the fort! And do you hear me 'bashing' people? Enough said!

It matters not whether you are a Christian or atheist! You are a human being, a woman, a mother and so, we need other human beings to interact with. If you do not want to listen to other people's opinions, then, write a blog....not on the forum.

But...Estelle, sometimes it takes a hard knock to realize how we have erred...and it takes another person to see and tell you where you went wrong.

I don't get why your being like this, when people are trying to help you. Why did you start this thread if you don't want people's opinions?

We are like minded....Debbie!flowerforyou
But actually, most of us think along the same line. It's just that I think Estelle is going thru' a really tough time in her life, and so, she adopts this bitter & negative character. She will mellow one day........hopefully soon! She has to think for her daughter.

Note: Everyone before responding to this post PLEASE read all the way

I prefer to be treated as an equal. Different but equal is how I would compare women to men.

But men and women aren't equal, woman are lower than men as they should be(my opinion)

I have some wisdom to share in these forums and some people need to respect that people have different opinions..so don't waste your time patronizing me. I will share what I think just like everyone else whether you can respect that or not

Now OP be quiet and listen, for women should shut up when a man speaks(my opinion)

I'm going to tell you what to to do, not ask, because in my opinion woman shouldn't be a given a choice just told what to do.....

Ok, now i'm going to stop there and say that I don't actually believe any of the crap i just said, but just because one has a different opinion doesn't mean you HAVE to respect or agree with that opinion, and also once somehow starts believing their opinion is wisdom....that's a slippery slope to a very narrow-minded view of the world, as such is demonstrated by the crap i posted above

There is no guarantee that a man will look out for you when life get's real. The odds are, since they are selfish creatures who lack understanding about what a woman needs they will eventually let you down in ways you would never imagine, and they don't even think it is a big deal. They are so different that it's best to be independent as much as possible.

Estelle,
You can tell me to shut up and mind my own business and I will

But I tell you this from one human to another. With compassion.

It is crystal clear that in reading more and more of you posts that you have been hurt... deeply... That is clear.. to I think, everyone.

But you have also given up on ALL men, and to a great extent despise them, but at the same time want them, need them. There are many many very good men out there... many.. But none would start a meaningful relationship with a woman with that negative mentality. None. They would surely fail as you would find fault in everything he did.

I do not think there is a person on this site that would like nothing more then to one day see you post something in the " success" forum..

Nobody wants to see someone in pain like you appear to be. Especially a young Mom. But please do yourself a favor and maybe talk to someone about it... get some help. I think you will find that many people had the same unfortunate experience(s) men & woman, and with some help.. worked thru it.

I can agree with this statement above. Estelle I hope you do find some help so one day you can pass it on unto your family and maybe not be so judgemental and stop hurting others even if you're not trying to.

Good luck in seeing some professional help for your own good dear flowerforyou
