I live in CT and love waking up to the lush green roling hills and the sunny days, especially now that the weather is warmer, which means I can take my bicycke out and just speed along the wooded backroads during a misty sunrise, travel to the neighboring towns I havent been to yet, and generally enjoy the summer days off from work.
There is a lot of beauty where we live if we just take the time to look, in my humble opinion.

So where do you live and whats the best part about being where you are?

I live in New Jersey.

We have NYC to one side and Philly to the other. And in between we have mountains, the Pine Barrens, some really great little towns and some of the best beaches in the U.S.

you can drive your motorcycle thru the Pine Barrens and be totally lost. Great stuff.

Yeah,, its crowded.. tolls on most every road.. expensive and you are going to give and get " the finger" most everyday while trying to commute to work in your car... but its Jersey.. I like it ;)

In Illinois, near St. Louis. So about 30 minutes from a large thriving city with a beautiful skyline, and a very large river. Eagles winter along it a little north of where I am. There's a beautiful lake and park up the road from me that used to be a curve in the Mississippi. Also within easy reach are rolling farm hills, with their crops marching a long in ordered rows. Fields full of dairy cattle and horses. Unexpected patches of woods. Little windy roads that pass through... and a huge man-made lake about an hour to the east.

Chester, in the North west of England.

We were voted Europe's 5th prettiest city beating the likes of Rome, Venice, and Paris.

We have the oldest race course in the UK

Chester started as a Roman fort in 79 AD

Chester has the only surviving rock cut Roman Shrine in the Country. Called Minerva's Shrine after the goddess of war it is designated as a Grade I listed building by English heritage and was carved in the early 2nd century.

We have the medieval walls which still surround the City and are a big tourist attraction.

The Cathedral was built in 1093 and is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the UK. It is magnificent even if I say so myself.

Chester is very nice I guess, and old.ohwell

outside a small town in California's central valley.

this is a man made lake that adjoins our local river.
there are a variety of food choices in our little town and if you want scenery you can walk the nature trail at the lake or go for a drive along the country roads.

Michigan - It's ALMOST Canada!

I live in a place where the common response to "how are you?" is, "just another day in paradise".

Ironically, it is hotter than Hades 9 months of the year and humid as a south american rain forest.

But, on the good side, I haven't worn long pants or lace up shoes in the last 6 years.

They call it LA, meaning Lower Alabama. No movie stars here!

Alas, I miss the hills...
