My first car was an Austin Avenger 1978, I got her in the 90s. Oh man she had no dash board, radio was cd player attached to speakers. But did we go to places. She just went without out a problem. Had an awesome time. Did crazy stuff as you do when your kids.
Was worth the experience.

Hell, I'm watching anime right now "attack on titan" I've finished the first season twice (which is all that's available right now) and I'm watching it again! While contemplating my EF sedan and EG Hatch and the future for both!

I drive a Toyota Camry. It's good for me. I can't drive a giant car or truck.

I go to car shows from time to time. I went to 2 in the last month. When I look inside some sports cars and old cars, I see the seats are really low, the dashboard is really high, and as a smaller woman there is no way I can drive that car.

In my opinion, toyota, honda, and nissan are the best. I always see 80's and 90's models driving around in my city but..where are the older domestics? They're in junkyards. I'm not talking trash, but voicing my own experience.

I don't like large vehicles myself. I prefer performance at a reasonable price, which is why I drive a modded, and tuned Honda Civic. Not just that, but I'm adept in the inline-four engine models and have worked on them for 8 years now and learned a lot.

PS, my modded Civic puts out about 150 hp to the ground in a 2400lb chassis, has a stage 3 clutch, and is prepped for turbo upon upgrading fuel delivery just a fuel pump and injectors with resistor box, then a go-autoworks street turbo kit for 230hp to the wheels on stock internals, then eventually I am building an Acura Integra LS block to be frankensteined with a JDM b16a vtec head, and boosted with a turbonetics T3 turbo at about 15lbs of boost with forged internals and built valvetrain for around..let's say 450 horsepower to the ground laugh

I like having a car that doesn't need a lot of maintenance. I have had this car about 5 years and no problem. The car I had was the same, older model, no problem. I hate to say it, but siblings in my family have Fords and Chevys and seem to have big maintenance problems every couple of years.

My sportscar days are pretty much over.... I drive a 2015 chevy Silverado... I absolutely love my truck...Which surprises me since I have had trucks before and only looked at them as a tool not a sweet ride..This truck well I love everything about it. From the air conditioned seats, to the great gas mileage...

Let's move in a new direction on this thread:

How about some questions:

1. What is your definition of a sports car? What models specifically?
2. What is your stance on modified cars aka "polished turds"?
3. If you could have any car in the world, what would you pick and why?

My answers:

1. A car that is faster than a stock v8 and can be fun to take a ride in a lap around a technical circuit in the Eastern hemisphere's racing style, as opposed to a Western "straight line" or "big circle" style racing. Eg: Honda NSX, S2000, Civic Type R, Nissan fairlady Z, Toyota Supra, Mitsubishi Evolution, Any Subaru with the "STI" badge, Scion FRS, Focus ST, Camaro SS, any Corvette, GT500, Nissan GTR or any Skyline, and any Euro car that costs more than $100,000.

2. Well..let's see..you can buy a Honda/Toyota/Nissan and for less than $15,000 you can make it outright dominate any $100,000+ car in any type of race. So, this is my chosen route.

3. I would have a 1991 Honda NSX Type R. I'm a Honda guy for life, and the NSX looks very exotic, was built for straight up performance, and is the best Honda has to offer and yes, I AM biased. The only problem I have with it is that it was produced during Japan's "276"hp horsepower ban which was recently lifted, so I would need to put in some work. But the car looks sweet and, most of all, it's a Honda bigsmile
