besides the technology,, whats the difference?...lol

It would be hard for me to choose what I have not experienced or known anyone to experience over what I have already become adapted to

It would also depend upon whether I would have knowledge of 21st century or whether I would be only aware of things existing in the stone age

What if massive emp burst (dont worry abt how!) put out all elec on earth, all power, all transport etc.

Would you adapt quick enough? Would you team with neighbours or fight them to death? Your only needs would quickly become food, clean water, warmth and shelter, while being on constant security alert.

Anyone fancy that? ;)

unfortunately, one of the consequences of depending upon so much technology is the loss of natural instincts and skills in the 'natural'

Id be at a loss for sure, with being raised in these times and this culture,, if we suddenly loss things like electricity

if Id known only the natural and no electricity from the time I was born,, I imagine it would seem much simpler to me

21.th century man in a Stone Age .. don't think so. Though both have their pro's and con's, but I'm still quite happy with my current life.

Would be nice to know of course that the dude from the neighboring cave can't text or call me, coz he has no cellphone and he's probably extremely busy at the moment in obtaining some food and making fire to scare off all these predators out there, who prey on him.

Then again .. what a pain in the a.. when you're sitting in the saddle of your mammoth and you're completely stuck in the heavy traffic of bloodthirsty dinosaurs .. nah, not my thing

Going back means BACK .. but life goes ON .. as we can't get even younger ..

However, I still wouldn't mind to take a brief tour .. let's say for a weekend or so .. if there ever will be a Time Machine biggrin

The primary reason to keep living in this age is medicine.

Folk living in the Stone Age had homeopathic medicines only.

Many folk did not live to see ther twenty fifth birthday, having been parents as soon as the women start their periods.

Until the people went from hunter/gathers to farmers, mere survival was a twenty-four hour a day job.

I'll keep the current era, thank you.

Hey, hey Cheech....lol. How is everyone on this forum???

I probably would like to live in the late 20th century, which is probably considered the stone age by some perspectives now. Oh, how I miss the days of telneting to IRC channels and MUDs.....when you knew that the other person on the other end wasn't a scammer...lol, but just another computer geek like myself. frustrated But I guess it is fun to play with these people....i have my own VoIP number that I can text them with....muahhaha. pitchfork

My dad would've said..."son, you're getting too old to play with computers. They are just a waste of time" Without them, we really would be in the Stone Age. what

Nah...
I am not into being drug around by the head of my hairlaugh
I kind of like the equality in sharing chores.
I kind of like having heat without rubbing two sticks together.
I kind of like having water on tap instead of making a birchbowl or hide bowl. and heating stones to get the water hot.

Have I lived off grid absolutely and can do it well.

Do I want to do it full time Not really

I and my neighbors survived Hurricane Rita well enough what with no electricity for seventeen days.

Two elderly folk had two keep their insulin refrigerated during that time.

Those of us with experience knew to prep ahead of time - can goods, water, extra batteries, fuel, sanitary napkins, diapers, fire starters, etc.

We pulled together and supported each other. Easy to do.
