Hello Julie_lol:

What makes you get up in the morning; what makes you smile? What do you strive for even though you are not sure you can achieve it? Surround yourself with positive, optomistic people.

What are your dreams, attainable or not. Who do you want to be. What make you happy? Find what you love to do and start looking for opportunities. And always, always include options in your plans; there is never ONLY one way to do something.

my life has been loaded of successive turning points that made me believe it's a formula 1 circuit , not a life

not sure how to answer that op ... there could be a lot of them ...
but whose to say... they are a turning point ... possibly just part of my life's journey ... and I agree with drtmd1... would certainly make a good start ... but if depressed ...seek out medical help first ...

One of the things that made me change is my high-functioning Autism. When I was younger, I was much more immature, cocky, and careless about how other people viewed me, so I had to learn the hard way about how my behavior affects the people around me.

Another thing that made me change is observing people like my parents complaining about everything in society, but getting defensive and acting like they're helpless when someone like me tries to encourage them to help solve whatever problem they're complaining about. If you're not going to help solve the problem, then don't open your mouth and complain for the sake of it; it's as simple as that. Those kinds of behaviors encouraged me to become anti-establishment and to develop the courage to do things those people were to scared to do themselves. One of the things I've learned about humanity growing up is it's very hard to try to help free someone from their enslavement to the masters of society, because like Morpheus from The Matrix once said, "the mind has a difficult time letting go". While I shouldn't lose my temper when trying to help free someone, I only reason end up doing that because it deeply bothers me for some people (like my parents) to act like they don't want to be free.

The last thing is my creative mind leading me to become an inventor, like Nicola Telsa. While ignorant, indoctrinated people will question me trying to free them from their enslavement, they won't question inventions that help improve society. If inventions were used to help free people from sociological constraints, instead of inflating certain people's egos, we would be living a nearly perfect global society. As an amateur inventor and futurist, I'm willing to help make inventions do those kinds of things.

When I realised that I didn't agree with how most others presented how the world is to me and that i would have to work it out for myself.

Been following that curve ever since. Heck it may be a big circle.

Along the way I decided that life is an opportunity to create meaning and appreciating "what is" is the best way for me to do that.

I believe we all have turning points in each of our lives. Sometimes we thought we have well organized our lives, we plan everything and we are too cautious, afraid, , too many inhibitions and careful not to make mistakes then suddenly we realized how empty life is when we live in a box. Too late to realize that we have let many opportunities pass us by, looking back our lives seemed meaningless, too boring, nothing much to share or talk about. In our everyday existence, we learn and we somehow try to make a change , we try new things and deviate from what we used to do normally thinking it would make an impact in our lives.... but life doesn't work that way, our expectations doesn't happen all the time..... disappointments, failures and unexpected things just happen.....and with these, I came to a point to just accept and face whatever life brings to me and lift it all up to God...... just enjoy each moment, live the life you love as long as you are not stepping on anyone's toes . Life is a journey, and in every turns , take a moment to stop and appreciate the beauty of your existence and the experience you may gather...you may stumble and fall, don't give up on life, rise up and go on with your journey with an open mind, open heart and stay hopeful to all the good possibilities of life... find the meaning of life in everything that you do by learning to appreciate every little things, even with the heartaches and pain , just keep smiling and stay happy , don't let negative experiences bring you down but rather make it as your inspiration and strength to go after your dreams. Create your happiness, don't depend on other people to bring it on your plate but be the one to serve a good meal of happiness for everyone smile2 smile2 flowerforyou drinker happy  waving

My turning point came in January 2001 when I rededicated my life to Jesus Christ. I was freed from lots of youthful vices. Ever since, He has been my purpose for living and has given me hope in this present life and in eternity.
There has been several challenges he'd seen me through them all.

the first, beginning college at 16 (created a road of potential)
the second, choosing marriage at 18 (gave birth to my individuality and joy)
the third, having my son (gave rebirth to my family and my joy and purpose)
the fourth, seperating from my husband( created new potential)
the fifth, meeting a certain 'experienced' male(created 'what if?' hopes)
the sixth, divorcing and remarrying (invalidated a lifetime, start over)
the seventh, having my daughter(gave new purpose and overwhelming fear)
the eighth, being abandoned by 2nd husband(created distrust and cynicism)
the ninth, finally getting a college degree(new hope and potential)

,,,,,,still on my way to #10, whatever it may be

The turning point is when you stop relying on other people and find strength within yourself to reach your goals. I don't mean turn to god and become religious, that's one way to empower yourself but it is false and no better than relying on other people. People are false, deceptive and self serving and there are very few that are not. You can only rely on you and the sooner you can learn that the better. Having someone at your side is nice, the real icing on the cake but them being there can't be expected or relied upon.

It is human nature to rely on those around us but American culture pushes us apart in so many ways including fear and superficiality.

So set goals, long term and short. Take baby steps towards those goals, every step is a small triumph. Get a hobby or healthy addiction to fill the gaps along the way. Get a regular sleep/wake schedule that works for your mind/body and if within your means eat healthy.

You are in charge of your life and if you aren't for any reason then you need to get into a situation in which you are, make a life change because if you aren't happy, what do you have to lose?

Oh and if you regularly listen to hard rap or death metal, stop it. That crap is horrible for people that have emotional issues. But too much soft sad music isn't good either, try listening to upbeat music that makes you feel good.

Change your perspective. Determine to be happy in spite of the circumstances.
