 How many of you folks here feel that a same sex marriage should adopt the same sex child and try to raise them with all the right values of BOTH SEXES??? In other words do YOU think two men can raise a male child to VIEW life from a normal out-look. And or,,Two women who raise a daughter? first off, define 'normal'. secondly, don't men and women have the same values, in that they are either good values or bad values? or did you mean raise them with typical gender-appropriate attitudes? to me, nothing is more important than the love, attention and guidance of loving, nurturing, good-example-setting role-models, be them men, women, fathers and/or mothers, certainly not the sexual orientations of the people close to them. The gender-appropriate attitudes are important to give the child a balanced dose of both male and female guidance. Men are from mars and women are from Venus...lol. Giving ALL the rearing from one side will make the child unbalanced when he is thrown out into society. Heaven forbid tha the first confontration with a female would be in a school playground...lol. All hell would break loose. |

This world is gettin really fcked up. I will always be on the side of a NORMAL relationship between opposite sexes. This thread just brought ole Tim McGraw's song to mind. please define "normal" for me..... and how you would propose that "normal" relationships work... There are PLENTY of great relationships out there between men and women. The only ones that we hear about are the unhappy squawkers that are pointing fingers at each other and blaming each other for the failed relationship. The happy ones are content and DON'T make a lot of noise. A man and a woman that have similar values and ideals stick to the marriage vows and make it work. |
