 I would re-live August 14, 2006...it was the most beautiful, happiest day - for many reasons. What a beautiful memory that remains in my heart... always. Cool....what that the day you fell in love? No... the man I loved had terminal brain cancer - and for over a year he was in constant pain from head to toes.... on August 14, 2006 - around 3:30am, he woke up and felt like going to the beach..said he wanted to swim in the ocean. So we drove there...and we were in the water for the better part of 10 hours straight. Around the 4th or 5th hour I realized that he seemed completely pain-free...so I asked him....and then he realized that all the pains that cancer brings with it were completely gone. For those 10 hours on that day there was no cancer in our lives - we were just able to be in love, be happy, silly, no worries... It was truly a gift, so amazing... He died on June 28, 2007 -- but guess what... I've gone to the exact spot where we were the last two years on August 14th...and the feeling is just as beautiful. Because I know the happiness he felt that day he now feels forevermore. (plus, I feel like a part of him is there with me...) Thank you for bringing this memory to me now - it's the best.

The points after the game are just a fun way of making picking the games more interesting...have been betting in office/family pools that way for many years...
I did put a post stating which teams I am betting on -- and that does use the point system most are used to. & Anonimoose - I put 14 on Minnesota because I do have much confidence in them this season...most seasons I keep them around 5 or 6 (which is where I put Houston this season...) Until they show me different, have a really bad week, etc...they will stay in the top spot for me. I learned years ago to not bet with my heart...well, not real money bets anyway!  We'll see what happens tomorrow! |

we had one week before last against cleveland... it was awesome... we been pullin it off at the last minute the last 3 games I know...I've been winning money this season thanks to your team! Just couldn't bet on them this week though - because Houston is a tough team (if/when they play up to their abilities that is...) Will be a fun game to watch!

the only one i am really interested in is Cincinnati! AND WE ARE GONNA CRUSH EM nice, another woman posting on my football thread! Welcome Well...I think the Houston/Cincinnati game will be a great game; IF they both play as well as they're capable of. Wouldn't surprise me if it's an OT game. |

you don't think New England will beat Tennessee, and the game is at New England? new england is my team ..but lose to the jets..and to the bronco's yea scratch another one off ...johnson is on fire! Tennessee, Oakland and St. Louis are just really bad... I think New England will crush Tennessee. |

I know...can not believe they are off to a 0-5 start...I was hoping that Young would start the game; honestly that was why I bet on them...but even when he was in they looked bad. Oh well, lesson learned! No more bets on Tennessee Hard to believe it's a safer to bet on Cincinnati and Detroit than Tennessee!

How do you end each day? A few things I like to do are: 1. Bubble bath - always helps to relax me 2. Drink peppermint tea - soothes me 3. Read a little 4. Write down 3 things I'm thankful for (I do this every night) 5. Listen to some soft music 6. Thank God for one more day What do you do? |
