I think more people listen to the Bee Gees than admit to it...they are one of the most successful bands ever for a reason, right? Yep, get that mp3 player charged lady! |

Brett Favre

I will admit...I've been a Vikings fan for 19 years...SO, for MOST of those years I was boo'ing Mr. Favre and the Packers. I literally almost passed out when I heard he was going to be with the Vikings... went to a pre-season Texans game here in Houston and saw him in person in the purple & gold, and it just felt oh-so-wrong... HOWEVER.... ha I never ever didn't like Favre as a QB, or a person...anyone who truly loves the game of football can tell he has a passion for it that most simply do not...which is what makes it almost impossible to not like the man. It's better to have him ON your team than AGAINST your team... So I'll be sporting a #4 jersey soon...which is something I never would've dreamnt possible!! Miracles do happen, ha...and Favre being a Viking is proof of that, to me. |

I believe the statistics are 1 in 8 women will get breast cancer at some point in their life. It's better to care and try to help any way we can, before we "have" to. |

At first I put very little on my profile - a few minutes ago I decided to tell a bit more about myself. So will anyone who has a few minutes to read through it, please let me know what you think. Do I share too much, too little, just right - what? Honesty is appreciated, but so is kindness as well. Thanks! Dawn |

Whats your fave author?
|

I know that I've read a few of her books, but I can not remember them... My favorite author is James Patterson. Yep, love the suspense type of books, where I'm always trying to figure out who is doing what. Alex Kava and Lisa Jackson are great as well. Lisa Jackson has a book called "Absolute Fear" that was so good I read it in one sitting...literally could not put the book down. |

Thanks all of you for the welcoming :) (and for the flowers, cute) & for the kind words regarding my loss. Yes, cancer is a horrible thing -- but going through that with him taught me so much about life, love and what really matters. No regrets. |

Just created my profile about 15 minutes ago. Checking everything out on here and wanted to say hello to everyone. So Hello :) I was on this site briefly about a year ago; but realized it was just too soon for me. I lost a man I loved dearly and was with for many years to brain cancer 2 1/2 years ago - and it's taken quite a while to heal from that. Started 'dating' again about five months ago here in Houston - but no luck yet, so I thought I would try this site out again. Hopeful of what the future holds and to the friendships that will be found by this site as well. I do remember there being ALL different kinds of people, and that's always fun! Hope everyone is having a wonderful day! Dawn |
