Humm first of all this is an International Site there is no way to request only certain areas to send likes etc..

But you can specify who can send you emails..You have to go to your settings and set that yourself ..

Click on Account- Click on Settings- Click on Limit Who Can Send You Mail fill in the areas and check boxes you prefer then Click on CHANGE PREFERENCE..

Then and only then will you only receive email from the distance of those that live nearby..

Otherwise anyone can send you emails..

If you click on your picture and click on HELP all this is within that area and tells you what to do...

https://mingle2.com/welcome/help

The site does not set these things for you. You must do them on your own!

That's hilarious and so relatable! Nothing quite like a teenager making you feel ancient in 5 minutes flat.

 Your grandson probably couldn't believe the salesman missed something so simple kids just intuitively know this stuff while we're still figuring out which port does what.

At least you got 5 months of practice listening to GPS directions the hard way! And now you have the coolest tech support grandson around.

Did he charge you in snacks for the lesson?

Believe me he got his pay at the thrift stores with his finds he made:smile:

What is so funny to me tho is his mom's parents are rich... I laughed and told him if his other grandma found out he got shirts and a Yeti coffee mug from a thrift store she would flip.. He laughed and said so what I have more fun with you.. happy

His mom told me he has been using that yeti mug everyday.

Humm well just bought a new vehicle the end of Feb this year..

I had asked the salesman about how to set up the GPS.. We could only get the GPS to work on my phone, but not come up on the screen in my Nissan Kicks.. So the salesman thought it was my phone since it was not a IPhone.. frown

Humm well one of my 14 year old grandsons came to stay with me a couple weekends ago.

We get in my vehicle, cause he wanted to go to a few thrift stores...He hooks up his phone and gets the GPS to come up on the screen, not a problem..

I told him about mine would not work.. He said Granny give me your phone.. Took him less than 5 min and he had my phone hooked up with GPS on the screen..

Come to find out I had it hooked up through the cigarette lighter port and you have to have it plugged in through the USB Port for it to work.. slaphead slaphead

The Salesman did not even catch that.. So I went 5 months not being able to have the GPS come up on my screen, so had to listen to it with my phone instead laying next to me... laugh laugh

Took my 14 year old grandson to teach me a lesson.. I told him okay when we get home I need to know what I need to do in order to use it again.. He said granny just plug it in the USB Port and not the cigarette lighter port..slaphead

Lesson learned

The AdBlocker Ultimate works great. Now the problem is there are no ads to annoy me and make me leave the site so I might stay on here too long...lol

I have used the AdBlocker for years on this site..

Even have it on my computer at work and home.. due to the pop up ads...

Best thing someone ever came out with for sure...

The only pop up I get is the one to send likes .... cause it is from the site all the other ads are google ads..

Humm...yet what you describe as a Millennial Male actually can be found in every generation...... whoa

Regardless how he lives his life that is up to him.. If his parents still let him live at home that is up to them to determine when and if they want him to move..

Problem with this world too many are worried, what everyone else is doing instead of focusing on their own lives..

And well if your the man you described as the one that got the one from Sweden, a exceptionally smart blonde girl that got an education and younger, then why are you here looking for a relationship??? slaphead

Seems you should talk to your nephew, about how he is living his life if it bothers you..Otherwise that is his business. Instead of putting him down on an open website.. At least he does have a job even if you think it is a cheesy one..

By the way I have known those that went several years to College and spent a fortune on Education. As well as those that only graduated High School and worked their way up the ladder and making more money than those that went to college.

Just my opinion.. spock

Myself I have never had to deal with Demetria/Alzheimer as far as my parents...or grand mother...Mother passed when we were little, Dad had a heart attack at 74. Grandmother that helped raised us lived till she was 92...

But I did take a part time job as a Caregiver for almost 2 years....

I have seen what Demetria/Alzheimer will do to a person. It is sad to watch for sure..

Out of the patients I sat with I always thought it was a bit strange for it seems it hits the women harder then the men at times..

A few of the lady's according to family were never mean or cursed and very loving.. But once they got farther along they became violent, cursed like a sailor and very argumentative.. It is sad to watch and they have no idea of the change...

But not one of the men I sat with was like that... They enjoyed sitting and talking even if they repeated themselves a hundred times it did not matter just watching them tell their stories... They remember the past like it was yesterday, but at times can't remember what happen 5 minutes ago..

At times they would not remember me from the week prior for I only was a caregiver on the weekends and worked my regular job during the week... Then there was times I had some I had to remind them off and on during the time I was there who I was and why I was there...

Best advice I can give is read up on the situation, because down the road your mom may have to go somewhere for she will not be able to live on her own as it gets worse...

Actually have two friends that are full time caregivers with a family member it is a hard life when you do it full time ...

At times when they hit that stage you have to muster up a lot of patients while around them and remember they really have no clue how they have become.. And yes at times it is best to make visits short and sweet in order to get through the visit..

They get to the point it is like talking to a child instead of a adult.. It is hard on everyone for they get very frustrated at times too.. I have heard of some fighting others throwing stuff at them ect..

One thing I learned when they start getting that way, is to change the subject and find something pleasant they use to love to talk about.. To me that always calmed them down... Don't argue with them for that will only make it worse...

Actually one of my friends created a group page on FB just to talk to others that are dealing with the same situation.. And to give some insight of what she goes through daily with her mom.. It seems to have helped her dealing with the situation... As well as others post how they dealt with the same issues with their parents at times..

Humm if you choose to turn off your AdBlocker, then you will have to deal with all the ads..

It has been like that for a long time.. why change now?

I'm not supporting anyone that way.. I have always had an AdBlocker for this site and will continue to have one..

Humm but then so many seem to forget Trump is not the only one that has received Lavish gifts... But guess many forget that both Rep & Dem have received Lavish gifts in the past.. Or is it just because it is Trump??

timesofindia.indiatimes.com/etimes/trending/beyond-the-400-million-jet-the-most-extravagant-gifts-ever-received-by-u-s-presidents/articleshow/121124035.cms

Sure, American Presidents have received foreign gifts before. And those gifts go to the National Archives, and presidents don't get to keep them.
www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/may/12/us-presidential-foreign-gifts-laws-rules-ntwnfb

But yet it seems you missed the point that he is not keeping it for himself it will go to the Airforce and be displayed in the National Archives... Same as any President before him is suppose to do with gifts.. All the Gifts that Biden & his Wife received as well as Obama & his wife received yet no one went after them for receiving gifts.. This seems to be one sided all due to it is Trump....

Seems to be a rash of people who are able to log in and claim to have forgotten their passwords.

They can actually pull up the Help Section if they forget their password..But that is the only place they can post.. Without logging in..
