Liking all the responses . All makes proper sense....and some . In my case , this new woman has absolutely no real connection to this one ex ...except as a dance partner! And since dancing is a big part of her life , I let her know I had no problem with her dancing with him . As I am not an accomplished ballroom dancer , I dont go with her to the events . She goes and basically bumps into the ex there .Having said that, I requested she just let me know where and when she goes dancing. Well what do you know... in a bizzare co-incidence, I spotted the two of them at a Club.... not actually dasncing , as I did not go in ... but their cars parked side by side in the parking lot. Three days later, I causally asked where she was on that particular day , and she straight out lied.. Red flag red flag. And now I am basically giving her a second chance .. Am I doing the right thing ? She new and I really like her !!! Humm that puts a different twist on the situation.. Myself even if the guy I was with did not like to dance I would still not meet and ex at a bar to go dancing unless the one I was with went with me.. Solution to that problem is check into dancing lessons so you can go dancing with her instead.. And well to flat out lie.. that is a kicker for me.. if one does not have trust within a Relationship it is hard for that relationship to go anywhere.. Actually sounds like you need to sit down with her and talk, communication is the key in any relationship. Once trust is broken it is hard to get it back unless both make an effort. Honestly, I'm not gonna say what you should do for only you can decide what is right for you.. |

I should be so lucky.. good for you Mo.. ya must've done a good deed for someone who's paying it back OR paying it forward.. 
IDK, if the dude thought, "gee that old decrepit guy looks like he may need some help", or he thought he was doing a favor for someone else and got the wrong address. In any event he didn't do the driveway, just the walk. And like I said the snow was less than an inch. It is awesome regardless if it was a mistake or act of kindness.. It is nice to know there are still good people out there.. |

Actually watching ones Art progress in stages is to me one of the neatest things to observe...
My grand daughter had moved back in with me a couple of years ago when she was in between college etc for a few months... One of the first things I asked was what have you painted lately? She had not.. I told her well I expect some painting going on so I can watch the progress.. She did as I asked and end of last year she gifted me, with one of the paintings she had done.. Well I kind of made it a point, that I loved it and it matches with my decor in the living room.. It is one of the best gifts I have received why cause it was done from the heart with love... no greater gift.. I also have one of her paintings she did in High School and was recognized for her Talent. When one has a talent as yours always be proud of what you do, for so many cannot bring life to a canvas.. It is amazing to watch... Never let another dim your light... shine on~~

Just popping in for a few before me and my recliner meet up for a few..
Ohh my I feel for y'all having to deal with all the snow that is coming down. Some of the amounts that some areas have received is unreal.. Stay safe, hope your prepared.. Here in Texas snow is not something we see very often. And well when we do it is only here a couple days then all signs are gone.. We seem to get the ice first then a little snow.. |

Crystal, your right when it comes to an ex you have kids with.. There is no way to avoid having contact with them.. Unless all ties are cut.. Even tho I could have done that with my divorce with my kids dad.. There is no way I would have made my kids have to deal with all the Drama of a messy Divorce.. They never knew till they got older why.. To me that is the past. Yes I can be around him and it not bother me.. Heck we all had Thanksgiving at my daughters this last year together..
Now the ex bf of 12 years we have only seen each other twice in the last 15 years.. it is phone calls only.. Would I meet up with my exes for dinner or pleasure hell no... Now to be honest if I was with someone and they kept in close contact with exes I'm talking about going out to lunch,dinner etc with them then yes I would have a problem with it.. But as far as just phone calls/texting or running into them in public no.. There is a point that is okay then there is crossing the line.. I would never go that far if I was seeing someone else.. |

Before many come in and say it is a BIG RED FLAG~~~~~
I'll state my case... Been married once divorced 34 years ago, my ex lives 10 blocks from me.. Do we still talk hell yea we have 2 kids and 6 grand kids together.. He has married twice since we divorced.. Heck he calls/drops by once in a while to talk about kids/grand kids or just to make sure everything is going okay.. We get along fine now.. Would I ever go back with him ohhh hell no.. We go to the grand kids sports games, and we all sit together... We talk/laugh about stuff grand kids have done etc... I dated a guy for 12 years after my divorce. He is with someone else. And he actually calls me about every 2-4 months to see how I'm doing. Just to check up on me, to see if all is going okay.. If he does not call me I will call him to see how he is doing.. This has gone on for the last 15 years. For me the past is the past. Once I'm done with a Relationship it's over.. Am I buddy buddy with the exes no.. When we talk it is just to check on how the other is doing.. Life is what it is.. so it is up to you if you can trust her or not... Women can have male friends and not want a relationship with them... jmo |

First of all OldCoot Wow.. just wow..
So now you're and expert with Art/Drawing/Painting too, who would have thought. If you were as educated, as you try to put out there..You would not Dissect a Painting like you have... that someone has posted to show their Final Painting results..That is beyond rude~~~ If and when one ask for suggestions is one thing.. To totally take their work apart once it is finished is truly something beyond your expertise~~~ My Oldest grand daughter is totally into Art. She has been drawing/Painting since she was little. Now at 23 she has become a Tattoo Artist. No way would I have ever dissected her Painting or Drawings.. Hell I'm proud to have her Art hanging in my house.. As far as the way the dust is, have you ever went down hill on a horse at some speed? Where the path is well rode. The dust will still be stirred up as you reach the bottom? If one took a picture at that moment you would see the dust.. I have taken plenty of Pictures through the years of horses in action. I had horses for 17 years.. As far as the back cinch they are not tight they are snug but never tight. And the Cinch Strap is not what keeps the saddle in place it is the Girth which is the one towards the front legs under the horse & the Breast Collar that goes on the outside front of the horse.. The Cinch helps keep the back of the saddle down in place.. on western saddles... With that said Crystal, I think the Painting is just perfect with the effects you created to show the actions of a rider coming down a slop.. Still Paintings are one thing to create, but when creating one where the subject is actually in action where the observer can relate and visual the action portrayed, is a step beyond... "Rider in Action"

to add to GravelRidgeBoy's list of possible reasons.. perhaps he's simply inquiring as to what "passion" feels like at a later stage in a womans life.. seems to me, now that I've re-read it, that he's asking if women older than 54 are AS passionate as a 54 yr old is, and MAYBE he'd be interested in dating even older women IF they are.. to answer that.. they don't call us COUGARS for NUTTIN  unlike men.. we don't need a lil blue pill to start the engines   Finally u read it from my perspective rather than just judging me for my choice of words which everyone else is doing. There is nothing wrong with your curiosity about what others thinks/feels. At times it is just a language barrier that is miss read... But I totally agree with Zee~~~ 
Heck I'm 67, and still get turned on.... when I see a nice looking man ya can bet your azz I'm going to look..
Humm responding to Chyrstal's comment about women's sex drive, I have to agree with Zee. I've never had any issue in that area when with someone. When I find the right man, with the right touch lets just say sparks fly

I'm no expert but IMO the hat brim looks just fine.. it's really coming to life..
Thanks you, Zee! Also for telling me it's called a hat brim :) Crystal, like Zee said the Hat Brim is just right... I know you are still working on your painting it is coming out great... My only suggestion is google a picture of a horse bridle for they have a piece that goes over the top of their nose and under their chin.. that is part of the bridle..At times the bridle has silver on them to match with the saddle.. Ohh and saddle horn is missing from the saddle, unless it is a Mexican Saddle.. Just a suggestion... I had horses for 17 years.. Ohh and I would not have changed the color of the saddle either... |

 most likely and regretted trying it..
I did get some wings when I was on a group ride one time for we stopped to eat on the way back.. Ohhh my gawd I got the hot thinking I have yet been to a restaurant that the wings were too hot.. Well I met my match that day.. At least I did order half of them hot and the other half a bit milder.. That first bite of the hot ones took my breath away.. Talking about breaking a sweat.. Of course got a good laugh out of the group I was with.. For I was sweating and trying to cool down my mouth...

Speaking of spicy food in Asia. I was having a meal with a girl at a road side stand in Thailand. On the table were three small containers of some kind of spice mix. I asked the girl what they were. She said, "this one is hot, that one is hotter, and you don't want to touch the third one". I didn't try any of them. I love spicy foods... but even I might have passed that up
But then knowing me, I might have tried the one that was just hot...

As far as the cat doors sorry I'm with y'all I would never have one.. I'm a dog person but never would put one in for my dog.. Heck I live in town and have a Huge Raccoon & Opossum that I see on my patio from time to time.. I could just see coming home and my house be a shambles due to they got in and went nuts in my house..
The only time I had any issues was after my gallbladder was taken out for it is a filter for your body that is now being bypassed. It is the reason foods go through much faster lol It took me a few years being able to get back to eating the spicy food I like.. Humm OldCoot now Black Pepper is something that I put on all my food.. I never use salt but pepper is a must.. As well as Jalapenos & onions... |

Thinking I sure hope they get my prescription glasses right this time..Almost 3 weeks trying to get use to a new prescription had me going bonkers to find out they were off, all that time
Crystal, I actually get the same as you do at times.. I have just learned what each one is by the description when it shows up like that.. Humm actually mine are like that now.. But my computer at home is older and well think that could be the factor. Not sure.. Humm I was wrong they are messed up on my computer at work too and it is a fairly new computer.. So not sure what causes the icons to look that way.. |

Honestly... I have never had that happen..
Mainly due to I have my filters set for email, that unless your within 50 miles you can not contact me.. Solves that issue to a point.. Now I have had those that put in they live in my area.. but in reality they do not.. After I ask if they live in that area, at times I will get ohh well I'm in so and so now but will be there down the road.. Yea right.. Unless they are a truck driver or in that type of business where they travel a lot it's a no go.. And well if they are rich enough to do all that traveling they would not be on this site..jmo My advice is set your email filters.. Anyone you have emailed will not be blocked by your filters.. |
