maybe its as simple as being to busy to read the whole thread liemaria. I work full time have two kids and a home to tend to and many other interests besides makeing comments on here. How about in the future I read every comment ever written so I dont make the mistake of haveing the same opinion as someone else  madman....... When responding to a post, it is everyone's duty to read the entire thread so that one can make an intelligent, informed, invested, intense interpretation without repeating someone else's post. This is per Just Say Hi Handbook, Modified in January 2008, Rule 2002, Section B, Part d, Subparagraph II, Subsection 109, Paragraph 22, Subparagraph 11A, Section 101, Appendix IV of Subappendix III. The voting booth in Novemeber. How did we get in a position of having two worthless candidates to vote for this year? It doesn't matter which demo gets the nomination, they are both socialist scary candidates, and don't even get me started about the liberal in Republican clothing either. This is the most dpressing election in my memory. It is about time to take our country back, don't you think? madman...... After McCain gets it you are going to have to keep trying for another eight years. |

Some laws do not seem to make sense. The person who killed my son via a hit-n-run would have only received 7 years maximum. Usually just about 18 months and probation. Not much you can do. I just wanted to hear a "I'm sorry." Lindyy  Lindy, if that person does it again, he will have the book thrown at him. I am so sorry for your loss. When my ex's brother got killed from the drunk driver, the driver received probation. We were outraged. He had had previous DUI arrests. Well, he got drunk and hit another person and he is in jail for quite awhile now. Well, the driver was never found. I guess every state is different. I, too, am sorry for your ex's brother. Police in my borough have a really good program, oh I cannot think of what they call it, oh, 'sobriety check points', throughout the borough everyonce in a while. Can you beleive that they have to advertise it in the paper to warn people of the sobriety test stops, when and where and what hours that they will take place? Unbelieveable.  Lindyy Lindyy..... We have the same situation in my township .... the police have to advertise when and where for sobriety test stops. |

Emperors Club VIP is the name of the club Spitzer belonged to. He paid up to five thousand dollars an hour for these prostitutes who were supposed to be college grads, supposedly from good homes, supposedly were refined young women of high intelligence, and who supposedly keep abreast of what is going on in the world. In other words, they weren't just whores, they were super whores.
However, the reality is that the woman Spitzer was involved with who brought him down, along with all of the other women, were not what they were advertised to be. Spitzer's tramp is a high school drop out from a broken home who was on the streets up until not too long ago giving it away for the price of a fix to satisfy her drug habit. Furthermore, she had no idea who Spitzer is/was. My question .... how stupid are these men that they can't recognize a high-school drop out and drug addict? Or, are these men so desperate for sex they just don't care? |

The answer to the above is Hillary and Obama are not out for the good of the party. Each has an agenda .... winning and destroying the other at all costs, even if it means imploding the Democratic Party. |

I've seen a lot of political discussion in these threads and I think the best discussions is when there aren't any accusations or name-calling, just intelligent discourse, pro and con. The next President will have to work with both parties, not just his/her own. Who do you think will be the best person to get things done in a bipartisan manner for the good of America?  it would have to be McCain and he'll only have some of the Democrats to work with...the Democrats are divided between Obama and Clinton and the war that is going on between the two the party will take years to mend the rift...if a Democrat was elected then they would be consumed with mending their party leaving the business of the country to suffer neglect.. I think you overestimate the extent of the problem. Though there is a rift between Hillary and Obama right now, once the Presidential nominee is selected, both will unite to help elect that person. Dirty politics and mudslinging is nothing new and this too shall pass. I don't think it will 'take years to mend the rift'. About McCain, I don't know, it remains to be seen. I think yanke hit it right on. mnhiker, if you really believe that once the presidential nominee is selected for the Democrats that Hillary and Obama will unite to help elect that person, I have a bridge in Brooklyn that I want to sell you. Additionally, remember that the Obama-Clinton competition has caused a lot of bitterness among Democratic voters. Obama is the favorite of black voters, who have declared they will not vote for Hillary, if she "steals" the nomination. On the other hand, although the white voters are not as passionate as the black, white Clinton voters are saying they could never support Obama. I do not believe this racial anger will fade once the nominee is selected since the racial divide on the Obama-Clinton dispute is widening. Case in point ..... Geraldine Ferraro. |

More people die in small plane crashes than big planes. That doesn't necessarily mean a conspiracy. These conspiracy theories about the Clintons have been around since Bill was President, it doesn't mean they're true. I'm not trying to defend the Clintons, whom I loathe, just trying to set the record straight. However, the site that separated the quotes that you were on is wrong. The Political Science professor I had when I was in school made a big deal about that quote, which is why I remember it. We have different views on this and I did express mine, so there is no need to repeat them. |

This behavior shows why Republicans have the reputation of not being tolerant of other people's religion, race, or politics. Btw, it's spelled astute. Thanks for the spell check. I do know how to spell, but sometimes I type so fast I make errors. Incidentally, I would like to correct you since you so kindly did the same for me. It is the Democrats who have the reputation of not being tolerant of other people's religion, race, or politics. To prove my point, take a look at what is going on between Hillary and Obama .... two Democrats. What has been brought up by the two of them? Oh my goodness, why it happens to be religion, race and politics. How about that? Hillary brought up the religion business by hinting Obama was/is a Muslim. Geraldine Ferraro brought up the race business last night. Also, Hillary and Obama have been attacking the politics of each other. I could go on and on, but I think you get the picture.

You are splitting hairs. Involved means to contain, include as a part, or to draw in. Surely the man was "included" in the ring as "a part" since he was "drawn in" by the prostitutes for whom he paid big bucks for their services. Geez, you sound like a high-priced lawyer who is getting ready to defend the guy? Are you sticking up for him? involved is not the word in question in is the word in question not involved in he was involved with ------ that is like saying the person that buys a new car is involved in its manufacturing company which is incorrect but they are involved with said company adju4...... Okay here we go again with the grammar lesson. The preposition "in" means within the limits or boundaries; it can also mean towards the inside of [something]. This guy was "in" or "inside" that prostitution ring. Once again, quit splitting hairs. Enough said!
