Who Would You Choose?

Jesus would be my first choice, but I believe I'll get to meet him soon anyways.
Second choice would be Peter Sellers, or maybe Elvis if he's in a good mood. |

My place down in Florida was like that. Funny because it seemed about as white bread and quiet as it could be, but at least twice a week, around midnight or so I'd hear a ruckus and then see police lights flashing through my bedroom window. I know it's tacky but I finally ended up taping tinfoil to the widows and sleeping with earplugs.
Seems all quiet in my new digs though. |

It seems like this forum is not so christian like and it is worst than politics forum... good grief..... I'm sorry that that's been your experience so far... I've actually had some very enlightening conversations in Christian singles with some very wonderful folks in here. ![]() |

I agree that insulting someone simply because of their religious beliefs is uncouth, but commenting on it isn't really going to change them is it? Which is why I put it in this forum, which is only open to Christians. I think I was just wanting to vent. Maybe a couple Christians would come along and say "Keep your chin up, remember Jesus loves you" or something. What I didn't expect was to be jumped on immediately and accused of being judgmental and closed minded or for some Christians to be called pagans, because they don't live up to someone's standards. Keep your chin up and remember that Jesus loves you. (This goes for everyone ![]() |

Personally speaking, I don't "want" anything from anyone. I'm not looking for a certain type, beyond female, that is...
I'm not actively searching for anyone though. If it does happen to occur that I were to meet someone, that would be okay. I'd be myself and the only expectation I'd have is that she'd do the same. If something grows from that and things work out to be condusive to a long term healthy,mutual and exclusive deal between us, then great. I'm not going to attempt to create a recipe for who that would be though... So anyone who looks at me and decides to explore a friendship, I'll consider recipricating that interest on a moment by moment, day by day basis. Luckily, I've never recieved a negative email. At least I haven't yet recieved anything that actually bothered me. I don't consider it a waste of time to talk to anyone. I think almost everyone has something to teach me, in some way or another. I'm not bothered, dejected, frustrated or lessened in any way by just talking to people. I won't let anyone rock my boat. I guess what I'm saying is that for me it's about friendship, first and foremost. Smores anyone? Sparkling zinfidel? |

Dating outside your race...?

Don't ask me why it was only once, because that once was just the only time that everything came together for it to happen, but once I dated a really sweet black lady from the Virgin Islands for a short while. We really enjoyed each other's company and connected in some profound ways. I was a single dad with a teenager at home and she had two young boys.
She ended up moving back to the BVI's but we stayed in contact by snail mail for a while. She both challenged and understood me, maybe better than anyone else I've ever known... The one that got away... ![]() ![]() |

That's a great analogy, Allen. ![]() Thanx Winx ![]() I dunno...It just kind of burns my chaps a little when folks imply, let alone come right out and state, that God is evil for giving us free will... I mean...Good grief already... |

Hypothetical situation;
I invite you into my house. I graciously offer you every amenity. Help yourself to anything, eat,sleep, relax to your heart's content. The only thing I ask is that you don't violate my personal space by rummaging through my nightstand. If you DO violate the one rule I established all too plainly, you'll no longer be welcome in my house. Do I owe it to you to explain why I made that one specific rule? Am I the bad guy for even having a nightstand in the first place? Is it likely that I have that particular nightstand there just to trap you as a sneak thief and can then get some type of twisted satisfaction in throwing you out ? I've always considered the story of the Tree of Life to be about having choices and then having to accept the consequences, for better or worse. It's up to us. |
