If you like Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, you should deffinitely check out Spaced. It was a tv show that aired on BBC in England. They just released it here in the U.S. on DVD about 2 weeks ago. The best way that I could describe it is it's Shaun of the Dead if the zombies didn't show up. It's a great show and any Pegg/Frost fan shoud check it out!

This is one of those things that when it comes out, you know you want to watch it, but when you do, afterwards you feel like you have to take a shower.

I only saw a clip of it and I felt like I watched some kind of german beastiality S&M porn. It just felt wrong.

Holy Crap......Best. Movie. Ever.

Seriously, I must've seen this movie about 150 times. I wore out my video tape.....was lucky enough to find a used copy of the DVD before they re-released it for $5.99. Then when they came out with the newer edition I was in geek heaven.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Melody Anderson (Dale Arden) and Sam Jones (Flash Gordon). I went into full on geek orgasam. My head nearly exploded. I didn't know what to say, and when I did speak, I don't think it made any sense anyway. Through the process of me dorking out, I managed to get a couple of things signed by them and they are amongst my most prized possesions.

I've met Melody Anderson a couple of times after that and she really is the sweetest person. Every time I've spoken to her I was flipping out in my head though screaming "HOLY CRAP!! I'M TALKING TO DALE FREAKEN ARDEN!!!"

So yeah.....I love this movie. lol

Burning Heart by Vandenburg

Does it feel the same
When he calls your name
And does it feel the same
When you play the game
Of love

When he holds you tight
Does it feel alright
Just like it used to do
When I was with you
Making love to you

This burning heart of mine
It still hurts after all this time
This burning heart in me
Won't let me be

After all this time
You still haunt my mind
I just can't seem to find
The peace of mind
I need so bad

Does it feel the same
When he calls your name
And does it feel the same
When you play the game
Of love

This burning heart of mine
It still hurts after all this time
This burning heart in me
Won't let me be
Won't let me be

This burning heart of mine
It still hurts after all this time
This burning heart in me
Won't let me be

Solo

This burning heart of mine
It still hurts after all this time
This burning heart in me
Won't let me be
Won't let me be

This burning heart of mine
It still hurts after all this time
This burning heart in me
Won't let me be

Oooh, won't you let me be

I Remember You by Skid Row

Woke up to the sound of pouring rain,
The wind would whisper and I'd think of you.
And all the tears you cried, that called my name.
And when you needed me I came through.

I paint a picture of the days gone by,
When love went blind and you would make me see.
I'd stare a lifetime into your eyes.
So that I knew you were there for me,
Time after time, you were there for me.

Remember yesterday, walking hand in hand.
Love letters in the sand, I remember you.
Through the sleepless nights, through every endless day,
I'd wanna hear you say, I remember you.

We spend the summer with the top rolled down,
Wished ever after would be like this.
You said "I love you babe," without a sound.
I said I'd give my life for just one kiss.
I'd live for your smile, and die for your kiss.

Remember yesterday, walking hand in hand.
Love letters in the sand, I remember you.
Through the sleepless nights, through every endless day.
I'd wanna hear you say, I remember you.

We've had our share of hard times,
But that's the price we paid.
And through it all, we kept the promise that we made.
I swear you'll never be lonely.

Woke up to the sound of pouring rain,
Washed away a dream of you.
But nothing else could ever take you away,
'Cause you'll always be my dream come true,
Oh my darling, I love you!

Remember yesterday, walking hand in hand.
Love letters in the sand, I remember you.
Through the sleepless nights, and every endless day.
I'd wanna hear you say, I remember you.

Remember yesterday, walking hand in hand.
Love letters in the sand, I remember you.
Through the sleepless nights, through every endless day.
I'd wanna hear you say,
I remember
,I remember you
ohhh uhhh yeah!

Any of the Evil Dead movies. Any of the George Romero ....Of The Dead flicks. The Descent was pretty good. 30 Days of Night was a good vamp flick. Just saw The Mist and that was suprisingly good also. Feast was an awesome gorefest.

I think it's called "Angels" by Sarah M(something?)huh

Angel by Sarah McLachlin? That song always makes me cry! and I agree with you Rob, My Immortal makes me tear up too!
Becca

I don't know if it's a nation wide ad campaign, but the ASPCA has a commercial that they run with that song Angels in the background here in NJ. All they show is a bunch of rescued dogs and cats in various states of sadness. That, coupled with that song in the background, and all I want to do is cry my eyes out and take a nice warm bath with a plugged in toaster.

They must've raked in the dough with that ad.

I love The Beatles. I was really psyched when I heard about this flick, and when I saw it, instantly fell in love with it. My favorite song has to be I Want To Hold Your Hand.

Not only do I think it was the best song in the flick (OK, aside from Bono's version of I Am The Walrus), but it also had the best "Wait.....Ummmmm........Ohhhhhhh!!!" moment in the movie too. I won't give it away, but those of you that saw it know what I'm talking about.

Has anyone else seen that date put up at the bottom of their screen while watching tv. I believe NBC is doing it. Beside it being all the same ## what does it mean???

It's when SkyNet becomes self aware and tells all computers to rise up and defeat their human counterparts

noway

Sorry, just got done watching The Terminator.....

ha ha im with you its very addicting plus there are like a million differnt versions of it

Yeah, they could have an I Love the 20's and I'd still be glued. As long as they have Hal Sparks and Michael Ian Black improving about prohibition, the great depression, and flapper dresses, I'd be set.

Awesome band!

I actually just posted about them in another thread.

I really wish that they would tour the US more often though. I haven't seen them live in a long time.

I would have to say that all time favorite band would have to be Man-O-War. From their first album Battle Hymns all the way to Kings of Metal, that's all I listened to back in the day.

Now I've mellowed a lot and Counting Crows would be up there too.

I know, strange combo, but it works for me.

Hey everyone!

Ok, I was inspired by the other cartoon thread about what you liked when you were a kid.......But what about now??

I'm 36 and I still love cartoons.....is that a bad thing?? lol!

My favorites are Samurai Jack, Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends, Ren and Stimpy, Invader Zim, The Tick, Futurama, Family guy, Metalocolypse, old Looney Tunes, Batman The Animated Series (the first series), Clerks The Animated Series, and all of the Pixar films.

I do believe though that most of the cartoons out today are half hour long comercials for the toys that they're trying to sell.

Is there anyone out there that's a kid at heart like me?
