Focus

It's funny how you can look right at something and not focus on it.

I am sitting in front of my window
Across the street are houses, cars lining the sidewalk.

Flowers and shrubery, a cascade of blooming lace, clear and bright splashes of color.

A young mother is planting her special gift of flowers, tender blessings.

A slow tear is forming into a pool that wells up from this mother's heart.

Memory's love is gathered in a basket,

Held and woven with distance and the inaudible of a dreamscape wonder

And hope's desire to even just hear their breathing, today, everyday.

In front of me, and in my hands, coffee, toast, a window with the world to see,

Yet, I can only see my empty heart, empty arms and I wonder.

and lights the direction

i receive with a bow,flowerforyou

Life is the most precious resource that we as Carbon based lifeforms have.

It makes me sick to my stomach to know how many people are suffering because of lies.
i suggest you begin to rally the forces and get some kind of real accountability and retribution ....

but then again you live in america...where democracy insures such accountability...right???

I have a four year old son and although he has lots of uncles in his life he doesn't have his father. I've tried to get his father to be a positive part of his life but the only time his daddy talks to him is when he's disappointing him. My son goes through phases of wanting to see his dad and disliking him--alot, and now I believe he is too smart for his own good and his using his intelligence to act out sometimes. Could it be because he is a four-year old boy being a boy or something else? At what point is his behaving non-age appropriate??

If you've already tried to get his father to be a part of his life and have been unsuccessful, I wouldn't try anymore, especially if his father would end up being a negative influence. You lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink, as the saying goes.

But if your son has a day where he wants to see his Dad, you could tell him that you will try to make that happen but you can't promise anything. At least you are letting your son know that you would never prevent him from seeing or contacting his Dad.

As for his behavior, he may be acting out because he is mad at his Dad, and if that is the case, just explain to him that its okay to be mad, but not to act out about it.

But he could also be acting out because he is trying to show his independence. The older they get, the more independent and more grown up they want to be. At 4 years old, he smart enough to figure out which buttons to push to get his way. But it's up to you to let him know what behavior is acceptable and what is not.

Good Luck:wink:

to consider.... find constructive outlets for his frustrations and marshall arts are a great way to assist body balance and personal harmony...if you can find a dojo or thru the YMCA or i don't know , they are usually pretty flexible in supporting families..... it's important to put some energy into the right teacher and chemistry of the class so visit a few ...does this seem extravagant? i hope not because it can be a great dicipline and richly rewarding
and "dicipline is the basis to all freedom"bigsmile flowerforyou

Lindyy rebukes the above post this way:

Oh, my dearier dear,

Spoken like a true ATHIEST that you are!!(Of course I viewed your profile)

BUT, to my ultimate delight, YOU HAVE JUST PROVED THE TRUTH OF THE NAME OF MY THREAD:
"Christian Persecution - growing like a rampant cance

I knew when I posted this thread on this subject that it would draw out of the woodwork all the ATHIESTS, AGNOSTICS, PEOPLE WHO INDULGE IN THE OCCULT AND THE LIKE.

There are others like and/or similar to you who have also posted.

Though I disagree with MOST (not all) of what they said, at least they spoke their opinion in a dignified and intelligent manner!!

And my dear, you are TOTALLY OFF TOPIC!!

Try reading my original post and then I welcome you to make an intelligent non-insulting/attacking post.

Your original post is one that falls into the catagory of reporting to one of the mods. But I believe in allowing one to'redeem' his/herself with a civil response.

you can run with what i say any way you like , it is what your own mind brings to the table, that determines how you see it.

i shouldn't actually have to explain myself in an 'adult' forum, about what was clearly black humour....

Thank you Wouldee

I am better than 'well'

Hugs to my gurl Alex too! MMMuuuah!

your welcome, dear one.

I apologizing for not knowing who Alex is by that name.

I can assure you, however, that some have engaged me being oblivious to my cause and goal and she been confronted, it was only in keeping with establishing the credibility of my point.

I assure you, that any that had confronted me with sharp criticism were treated respectfully and my responses were tendered for more consistent continuity and context to my point to others intended to get the message.

Those that know me and were around during the melee that sparked the need were more than capable of climbing aoard.

But wouldee's survival in his intent was being doubted and observed quite cautiously.

That is so understandable, my friend.

Nevertheless, the e-mails from so many as I was engaging the matter assured me that for every one, there were ten more observing it all.

Likewise for others taking the opposite view.

We are over it all now.

But still, it is a nervous peace.

More like detent:wink:

I assure you, though, no backlashes shall come from Christians.

Many have left that I know would like to come back among their friends in these tthreads over the last few months.

Perhaps more than a few of yours would if they felt relaxed to come and share.

I believe they will.

That is how confident I am that mutual respect and dignity will rule the days, not rue them.

peace and love and grace.

I don't know if this is acceptable. I have been digging through old poetry. This piece I found to be a beautiful collaboration between two people. It touches me and I can feel all it conveys. Very good.

Bravo to both of you.

to be encouraged!! laugh

Do kids need both parents? NO.

It is better to have one fantastic parent than one fantastic parent and a horrible, hurting one.

IMO

I would like to say that this doesn't mean they don't need a father figure, especially if its a boy.
a male role model would be more accurate for me.... father figure smacks of whips and confessions...lmao

absolutely correct!!!

i have raised 3 children without their fathers...their fathers were allowed to participate if they chose but when they typically didn't well that worked just fine with us as well!

i never NEVER let my kids think that there was any abandonment issue...we chose our lifestyle...I chose our lifestyle, they could go to their fathers whenever they wished..i was lucky in that they all each had very cool fathers...lol

so mostly they left us alone.
i never took child support so there was never the rent of the kids arguement which i think is also very unhealthy...kids are not for barter.... sheesh!!noway noway noway grumble as for what may or may have not been their paternal entitlement,

well i made up for it and plus some times 50...but even if i hadn't all that really matters is that they see their parents healthy , making healthy conscious choices and decisions , because that is what they will emulate ...

be a GREAT and happy example of the inspiration and ideals you want to embody and you will most likely have great kids!

empty the cup so it can be filled

ok so your cup spilled
and you hardly took a drink:wink:
but bless the chance to sit in bewilderment!

and listen....
there's rushing water flowing
and on a cool breeze
fresh air from
the breath of 'these' voices
that sing to you
and offer
to refill your cup!

The world turns;
oh how I deeply
pray for peace!

When this day
comes, all our
violence will
cease. There
will be release
from the chains
that bind.
No more torture,
no more war
crimes. A miracle
within my time
with vision,
diplomacy and
protesting signs.
How many people
have to pay the
price sacrificing
precious life?
And for what?
Just want to know.

My God, oil spills
bodies chill,
who's fulfilled?
Hearts are stilled.
As we dig in our
heels, more life
disappears. Can
you hear the fears
and Sacred tears
falling the world
over? Falling,
falling, calling
out! Will we end
the doubt and
reveal what this
is all about?
What is it we
leave our young
who are stunned
and in shock? We
have the keys to
unlock the doors
in order to give
our children more.

Let’s not leave
this mess behind;
our babies are
coming to seek
love and life!
