I need intimacy, communication, honesty and butterflies in my belly, then sex. It's a shared experience based on attraction initially, but made memorable by establishing a relationship first. And, yes, women over 50 need sex, too.

I took the time to look at your profile. Although you say you are looking for the "right" woman, your pic and profile's words ("nice package") shout you are looking for Miss Right Now!

Beautiful.
Made me ache with longing for my undiscovered "beloved."

Love your subject and your word choices, especially "wondrous wild magic"!

Aye. Tommyboy, you have indeed captured the image of a precocious river. Question: is it that you desire to "dance on thimbles, dance on stone/Balance erect upon your throne..."?
(Those are my favorite lines!)

Although your poem is well written and points to a sad truth for some, I prefer to bend, not break!

Satisfying read and let excellent rhythm! My only suggestion is to correct your pronoun shift from first to third person...but that's a small thing.

Thanks for the link to YouTube! It's always enlightening to hear the poet read his own verse (enjoyed the harmonica, too!)

I closely identify with your sentiment and experience. As my mama always said, "Bend. Don't break."

Best part of this piece for me is "you hide behind the lettuce you won't swallow/and the bills you never pay, /damning the world." Think I recognized some people!

Loved the trip through a rivetting blues song. Great imagery drew me in to its spell.
Encore!

As usual, your writing solicits an emotional response, especially during the holiday season when are missing loved ones dominate our thoughts.
Hope all is well with you!
