The Third Man,

This is my favourite, it has everything, murder, romance, intrigue, humour, great music, some unforgetable lines, and above all, the bombed out streets of VIENNA as they were in 1949.

wasn't being exiled.. who said exiled?

Point is, if you are going to complain about it so much and its that bad.. that unfair..... then go where it is better.

Go to a place that makes you happy.. if that is not the U.S, then like I said... don't let the door hit you on the way out.

It's arrogance of the highest degree to suggest that people should leave the country because they express a point of view that doesn't chime with your own.
People have a right to tell it like it is, in the hope that things might change one day, it's called free speech. Long may it continue.

Thanks, Walker...that was my very first attempt!

And my mom will always be in my thoughts, though I don't get to see her as often as I like, being in another state. I was inspired to write something as I thought of her today after seeing my sis post her pic on FB!

Wow, it's a great first attempt! and so you now must on to write many many more, as you say, inspiration is the key, and you have that, so keep on writing!

The last time I saw Colette

Such an unforgettable day
a sunny day with clouds from time to time
you come to me in the street
and knock me out of rhyme
in two years why did we not meet?

I should notice more
but I'm busy doing mime
for the first time in my life
having nothing to say
telling you a million words of lies
on starry nights alone along the way

need to say so much
need so much to touch
a simple holding of the hand
will make you understand
to tell you I will not forget
though I live a hundred years

your face will haunt me still and yet
i am tough too tough to care
you're just a girl with dreams of love
as if such things came down from up above
yet was it not I who gave you such ideas
while lying under stars above

before i drifted off to look for someone new
and found too late that there was none like you
today I could not speak
so I told not a single lie
and I never saw you cry
and we never said goodbye

The problem with dating after fifty is that everyone has history, young people start their adult life with a fresh clean slate, full of hopes and dreams for the future, their attraction and relationship are primarily sex driven, after fifty character and personality have been formed and created by life experiences, not much guess work left to it. After fifty most people have "been there, done that" and have no interest in a replay, they know where they want to live, what they like to eat, what they like to do for entertainment, what movies they enjoy watching, infact, they become "set in their ways” flexiblity and challenges no longer interest them. Topics of conversations is usually about their history, or health problems.

The question to men over fifty is, “now that you have experienced many of life challenges what is your vison of a good relationship?”

Does not the same question apply to women over fifty?

I wonder where you are today
whether close to me or far away
perhaps living in the very next street
so there is always just a chance to meet
but would you just not know my name
seeing as I do not look the same
as when we walked so many miles
when the world was full of smiles

I have tried everything to keep a man happy. Doing all the housework, cooking for them, shopping for our food, and helping them with work, and of course in the bedroom. It seems that the more I do the more they want and when it's not enough they abuse. I have thought of course it must be the wrong guy so I have tried changing the guy for a different guy but it's always the same in the end. So what is the secret to keeping a man happy?

Is your question not the very essence of sexism? Since each and every human beings is said to be unique, have you ever tried to keep a 'person' happy, an individual person, instead of just a 'man'?
