Nothing seems fun anymore.I avoid my friends and all I feel like doing is curling up in the dark and going to sleep.I am sorry for being a downer but I have tried and tried and I just cant get out of thos funk Im infrustrated frustrated

Yeah, I would suggest avoiding alcohol, drugs, and anything else that might become addicting. Depression can easily influence addiction. like Polarity said, eat some healthy foods, and get out and maybe go for a jog or walk. Also, stay away from sharp objects, guns, and the tops of tall buildings; suicide solves nothing. Go out job hunting, getting a new job will be a very big positive reinforcement. Go out with some friends, no matter how much you don't want to, you most likely won't regret it later.

I'm afraid others would give me the hammer if I answered this question with all honesty, but that's the only way I can. For that fact, all I have to say is good luck to you and other women like you who are being treated the same way. flowerforyou

Since when is honesty a bad thing????

since the last topic I created; it didn't quite go the why I planned. I believe I came off as sexist, it wasn't my intention. it turned into a male vs. female topic and well....I don't want that to happen again.

I'll give you my opinion of the male prospective, but I don't want to argue, WITH ANYONE(that includes the guys).

All guys really care about is SEX! It's in our DNA. Yes, I know most guys want to admit they really want a relationship, but what is it really that they want from that relationship? It's said that within seconds of seeing a woman, he can tell if wants to have sex with her, I believe this is true. Ever watch VH1's Tough Love? Well, watch it. It will show you the difference of what men want and what women think men want. For most guys it's all superficial, and for the rest, it's "whatever I can get."

OK, so I'm "only 18 and ignorant," but from all that I've observed, this is what I believe to be the truth.

As I said, good luck to you and others.flowerforyou

OK. Good point.

And I changed my mind about the me having all night. I'm kind of trying to stay out of trouble right now, cause I think I'm on the naughty list, and I'm afraid I might get carried away with this discussion.

On a different note, I love the fact that people are wanting to protest and speak there minds. But please, know what you're talking about and research from many different sources before you do go out and protest. And even get multiple views on your subjects. Don't just follow everything the media tells you, it's not always as bad as they make it seem. So many people have very biased opinions because of what they here on the news and also misinterpretations. Please, for the sake of this country do not be one of those people. Research and know YOUR facts.

vote for a $500 billion tax bill without even reading it?

are spending trillions of borrowed dollars, leaving a debt our great-grandchildren will be paying?

consistently give special interest groups billions of dollars in earmarks to help get themselves re-elected?

want to take your wealth and redistribute it to others?

punish those who practice responsible financial behavior and reward those who do not?

admit to using the financial hurt of millions as an opportunity to push their political agenda?

run up trillions of dollars of debt and then sell that debt to countries such as China?

want government controlled health care?

want to take away the right to vote with a secret ballot in union elections?

refuse to stop the flow of millions of illegal immigrants into our country?

appoint a defender of child pornography to the Number 2 position in the Justice Department?

want to force doctors and other medical workers to perform abortions against their will?

want to impose a carbon tax on your electricity, gas and home heating fuels?

want to reduce your tax deductibility for charitable gifts?

take money from your family budget to pay for their federal budget?

these are some of the issues to be discussed

Only one of these topics is unconstitutional, that is : "want to take away the right to vote with a secret ballot in union elections?" And if it's "secret" then how do you know about it?

The rest are completely legal political decisions. (not saying that they were smart decisions, just still legal.)

Any specific constitutional rights that you're referring to? And before you answer that, caveat! 1)I HAVE ALL NIGHT. 2)I'm very fresh on the constitution and almost all of its meanings. 3)If it's about the 2nd amendment, people have been arguing over the meaning of that one for about 200 years, so no one knows for sure what it means. And the ones that DID have been dead for a little over 200 years.

Dude, I think they are here to just mess wth our minds...frustrated

NOT A GOOD PLACE TO GO. the ladies on here tore me apart for a similar statement. although, they can't quite consider you 18 and ignorant like they did me. i had to somewhat promise to keep my opinions to myself to keep from getting banned. anyway, like i said, don't go there.

 Is loving someone a decision or an honest feeling?

I think it can be both. True love, if there is such a thing, I would believe to be an honest feeling. As for love of a friend, I think it's a decision, conscious or not. It's pretty much deciding not to hate someone. IDK

As I have said before lets keep it in the current regime and what will be done about it now and moving forward. As for checks and balances they become removed when one party controls the Presidency, Congress and the House by majority to a certain extent. It doesn't matter how we got here, for that matter I could says it all started with Lyndon B. Johnson and the Ladybird regime. Please stay current and in the present looking forward to the future. Thank you. Will any of you posting be joining the protests in your area??

I'm kind of late replying to this, but oh well.

Checks and balances were not made to stop a ruling majority, the founding fathers made it to stop a single ruling power (i.e. a king).

Sorry for being off topic, though. But as for the current topic...um what was it again? It seems to be lost amongst all the bickering.slaphead

Ma'am I also remember President Obama calling Senator McCain John without first asking if that was alright. I also saw Senator McCain refer to President Obama as Senator Obama at all other points that night. If you'd like to get into a debate on whether or not something is polite you yourself should use the proper mannerisms (ie President Obama and Senator McCain). And, a debate is meant to illicit emotions which could result in someone being impolite. A press conference is not meant to do that and the president went in with his words already formatted. There is a difference between the heat of the moment and a preprepared speech.

I really believe that the mannerisms used were insignificant to the debate and the press conference. Mannerisms are formed by habit and upbringing, and should not really matter as long as a statement is coherently addressed to everyone it may concern. I'm not saying that one should not have to be able to speak in a formal manner, by all means, he or she should, but when a "they" or a "that one" slips out, well, let it slide. My president's mannerisms are irrelevant to the country's future, at least I hope they are or else we CAN blame our current predicament on President Bush. Let's not even start on his poor mannerisms.

Do your homework before you complain about President Bush, these issues didnt start with him they started with Clinton when he passed legislation to try and "get everyone into a house." In fact, President Bush was one of the people who looked at the Fannies and Freddies and said that something wasn't right. Its not his fault that Nancy Pelosi and the Leftist House and Senate were opposed to looking into it. And yes the rich do benefit from society but the poor benefit far more, in a country that is built on pulling one's self up by his own bootstraps why should the rich have to subsidize the lives of the poor?

this wasn't directed at me, was it?

you do realize that roughly 70% of the nation is middle class, that other 30% being mainly made up of lower class.

no, I don't think he is either. in fact, he can't be. because our government was designed with checks and balances, it's made it so one person does not have complete power. even though the president has a lot of power, he(no matter who he is) cannot fix this nation alone. not to mention, IT'S NOT JUST US. the whole world right now is in an economic "recession".

we definately agree on this. funny though....i have been saying this same thing even before Obama, but no one seems to see this except for who they voted for

well, I just started realizing all of this stuff within the past year. this was my first time voting, and I didn't want to make a vote not knowing anything about what's going on in the world. Now I love politics.

lol. my college english class is doing argumentative research papers, my classmates sighed when they found out I was going to do mine on the AIG bailout. they tried to convince my instructor to not let me do it, claiming that it was too easy for me to argue politics. TBH, I haven't been keeping up with the whole AIG thing.

As I mentioned in another thread, Obama will not be the one to solve all of our problems, and we most likely not see our economy smooth out for quite some time. from what i know, and this is just a guess, america will probably go through about 3 more presidential terms before we even begin to see light at the end of the tunnel.

several said the same thing you did about people going door to door and apparently we are wrong for saying that. I did not see anything abou being outside protesting. all i saw was a meeting. but turn the tables around....obama supporters on the street corner....would you want the other side to do what you plan on???? yes we all have the right to a peaceful protest....but i imagine if the shoe was on the other foot....it wouldn't go over so well

well, I'm a VERY big supporter of protest. So, yes. In fact, if it was me I would challenge opposing parties to protest against me. This country was built on competition and compromise.

i mean coming to my house. political science isn't my major, but it is somewhat a passion of mine. they would end up fighting a losing battle.

funny you say that because when the other side said those things about obama supporters coming to the door....those people we told they were in the wrong. But unlike obama supporters....these people aren't going door to door. But i guess if they decide to....it's ok. what's good for the goose is good for the gander. but thank you for proving a point I had made a while back

well, that's one thing I disagreed with. no one needs to go door to door trying to sell politics, religion, beliefs, or anything really. Leave the door to door stuff up to UPS, girl scouts, and trick-or-treaters.
