well I was addicted to meth for many years but have been clean for over
2 years now and I take it personal when yall say meth heads suck. It is
an awful addiction, I am lucky to have kicked the habit all by myself,
without any therapy or anything else. I had the classic case of meth
mouth which is all my teeth rotted out. They broke off like pieces of
chalk. Only god knows what else it did to my body. I thank god every day
for the strength to quit. I am a lucky guy and I get stronger every day.
Meth is one of the worst things that ever happened to the american
people and I am not ashmed to admit that I was a junkie but am proud to
admit that I am clean now.

Good for you, nut'n!! I used for years, myself, in the 80's and early
90's. I don't know how or why I was one of the fortunate few to be able
to stop and not relapse when meth has destroyed so may of my friends and
loved ones. I agree with leroy about the increase in skin lesions, as I
see them over and over again in various forms. People say they are the
result of "bad crank".....as if there is "good crank" out there!! Some
friends call them "stress knots", "allergic reactions", "late onset
acne", "staph infection".....etc. My ex spent the month of Sept. sicker
than hell and telling me of his visits to the Dr. due to the develpment
of "cysts" on his face. The Dr. would lance them. He was also
dehydrated, lethargic, malnourished, depressed, irritable....oh!...and
he is a meth user. He missed a month of work and still won't admit there
is a problem. He craves rough, dirty sex with the skankiest women he can
get....He is one of a dime a dozen. He is the rule anymore.Meth is a
horrid, horrid drug. Once someone tries it, they are often hooked. It
offers nothing but destruction and suffering. I have friends who have
had dentures by the age of 21 as a result of meth use. Man, I can't say
enough how much I despise this drug. Nut'n, I applaud you!! God is on
your side! I wish you well and if you ever feel a temptation to relapse,
give me a yell and we'll talk through it.

A Prologue To The Topic (Methamphetamines)

I'm not here to miss lead anyone, or miss inform anyone, on the
devastating facts of Methamphetamine abuse! I'm also not here to argue
with the Feds or Fedman as he calls him self! I don't need to relie on a
brochure written by are government, to come up with the facts! Fedmans
profile state's "The less You Know The better" Well, I think practicing
Meth addicts should know the facts! I have not lived a sheltered life! I
have witnessed the devastation of Meth use first hand & personnel! I
have lived in the neiborhoods of $30,000 & under. I have lived in the
trenches! The neiborhoods, society has labled as white trailer trash!
The only time I have worn a suit was to go to a funeral, not to work! I
have been to many funerals, a lot of them have been my family & some of
them my friends! I'm what a consider a survivor of the dope show! At
one point of my life I used Meth daily. I'm also real proud to inform
people I haven't used Meth since 1994! I don't have to lie to make
friends, I have many & I don't judge none of them! I have worked on &
off for 5yrs. for a Hazmat Restoration company. I go in and clean up
Meth Labs, I know exactly what ingredients are used for the manufacture
of Meth! I think if more people were aware of the facts they would
definitely reconsider using the drug! I'm not here to glamorize the use
of this drug. I posted this thread in hopes of informing people the
truth about Meth & maybe offering helpful information to practicing Meth
addicts! I hope this thread will be of some help to someone who needs
it!

I'm sure it will be Leroy all do need to be aware of what the drug will
do to them and how it affects not only them but there family and friends
all all drugs do. All drugs do is make you forget and get to the point
you will do anything for the next fix. Its sad to see someone young or
old to throw there life away for drugs and end up six feet under but not
before they have completely destroyed there life and those around them.
I do know around the area I live they are starting to hammer down harder
on the meth labs will it stop them no but it will put a big kink in
there plan. I have known friends that have been on it for a leghth of
time and in the last few years have seen them clean up too. So far have
been lucky have not lost any friends to the drug.

Leroy, I am a former meth user too. Been clean for goin on 3 years now.
Nothing was wrong with your post, just others need to relaize what hell
we go through just to kick it and survive daily now. You done good,
regardless of the snide comments and Fed's comin in.

Meth equals death..its that simple..maybe not now but sometime in the
future it will creep up on you and kick your ass..it's not easy being a
recovering junkie of any sorts, even an alcoholic in recovery can tell
you this .

another problem we(the people) need to address is that there are farmers
who use anhydrox-amonia for their crops...
also an ingrediant for meth manufacturing...
a very common chemical in the south...
stored in 55 gallon drums,or large tanks, above ground...
this is stolen by meth makers as well as other things used...

also too...our country will never be rid of cocain,
as long as we all love chocolate...
sort of a bitter sweet story...

I too was hooked on meth, but I had to quit before it killed me.
it was giving me brittle bones and a very bad attitude...
my mind was going 900 mph, while my heart tried to keep up...
I have seen many good people DIE on the stuff, and it makes me sick, that
so many folks still are...
as they are ignoring the facts...
and if they do not get help soon...
it will kill them...
our government does not help by it's cover-ups...
trying to quell mass panic...bulls**t!!!
we need to know all the facts to make informed choices...
to make up our own minds, and choices...
like there have been very many studies on pot...
but the government said,
there is no proof of it's medical values...
to that I say...

STUDY THIS!!!

Yeah Leroy you'd think people would not use it if they knew, but it's
been wide spread all over news channels and such shows as COPS, exactly
what is used and how dangerous the chemicals are by the methods used by
clean up crews to dispose of the products and labs. I have seen people
steal this anhydrous ammonia from tanks like michael talks about, with
their kids in the car "along for the ride" I suppose. It is a very big
problem. These labs are sometimes stored for evidence, I have seen
several mini warehouse units full of this equipment. Lily anyone can
gets cysts, I have had quite a few myself and can assure you it's not
caused from methamphetamine use/abuse. Maybe his was but there are
several reaons for cysts to form on people the main one being injury to
this area at some point in time. I was told this so I started watching
and paying close attention to where mine form and I have to say the
doctor was 100% accurate as to why mine had formed. I actually have a
small one on the back of my neck right now that I need to get removed. I
am glad that you all have decided to and had the power to kick the
addiction. I wish everyone could.

lily what is your problem? I can tell by your looks that you were and
maybe are a meth or crack addict but I have not made any accusations or
nothing else, now that you've stated the fact I know I was right, so
what who cares I am not here to blow no smoke or nothing else. You don't
like my posts then don't read them. Sound good to you?

Fed that was a really rude remark that you made to lilly. did you bother
to go back a nd read? she said she was a recovered user. you can be a
real ass you know that. yes i have read your profile and many of your
responses on the posts it seems to me at times you like to go off half
****ed instead of doing a little research first. I;m sorry but i feel
you owe at least a lilly an apology.

i have seen meth destroy a lot of good families....it not only destroys
your body but your family relationships.....and yes you would be
surprised at what the makers will go thru to get the product they
need......do u really want all those household chemicals being inhaled
into your body...i have seen the aftereffects from to many gone
bad...its a sorry site

I tried meth once. And that is all it took. I knew that I liked it
enough not to do it again. My mother was, or should I say is a heroin
addict and I know that I don't ever want to see my family (when we have
one) grow up the way I did. I have been through some sh*t with a
"junkie" mother who did not care about anything except getting her fix.

Also, there are MANY items that you could buy over the counter that
contain at least one chemical that is used to make meth. Benendrix
Nasal Inhalers (spelling is probley wrong) is used in a lot of places to
make bathtub crank. I worked at a place for a while where the same
person came and bought at least four a day and there wasn't anything we
could do about it. Now that they have to buy most of the stuff with
their ID, it doesn't make it impossible to get. No matter what people
would like to have done, it is still going to be around. Nothing will
ever change that. If someone goes to a dealer and asks for it, they'll
find someone who has it just to make a quick buck or two. So sad but
true.
