I believe the earth is alive and constantly evolving, so it doesn't matter what we do.

You stay up all night thinking about new questions, don't you? laugh laugh laugh

I believe there is a problem and it is based on technology. The air we breathe is getting harder and harder to breathe every day. My youngest daughter, depending on where we live has to have inhalers or nebulizers.
Can new technology help? Only if they find a way to make it work. Someone has to want it to for it help.

George Carlin put it that way very well "Who do we think we are to say we could affect the natural trend of the earths atmosphere."

I think that the major problem with the earth's ecosystem is media hype. Global warming? If it continues at its present rate, the worlds mean temp will equate that of 1932 in approximately 45 years. In the fifties and sixties and early seventies, the big global concern was global cooling due to pollution. When Krakatoa erupted and blanketed the atmosphere with a layer of dust, there were freezes as far south as the equator(according to analysis of tree rings). I think it is a purely political hype to get the public panicked.

I beleive technology will ultimately destroy the earths ecosystem...it can only replenish itself so much naturally and some things can't like water for instance...once polluted...that's it...and air is the same...drinker

I think nature will balance itseslf out if we give it a chance. I do believe we have an impact on the enviornment, but I also believe the earth has it's own cycles & they are not nessasarily going to benifit man. Species have come & gone before, we need to be adaptable & try to lessen our impact.
There is alot of technology out there that is not being used because there is no economic benifit to the current business leaders. We need to think about how we as consumers can make this change by using the powers of suply & demand.
