depends.......your age, your wealth when you met, how you got your money, there is a lot to think about.......my law prof. is in his 40's getting mairried for the first time and put all that into a prenup..............

I think that when you are couple there is an easy solution to this question. first) figure out what the total household bills will be second)set up a separate checking account for those bills each person adds equally to that account. If you want to save for a major purchase or vacation use the same program. You can still maintain separate accounts,but have one for household bills and major purchases
