Just wanted to say ya have all done a great job it is not easy raising
children alone. But it can be done and you will reap so many wonderful
memories from it that you will always have. My Kids are grown so this is
to all the ones that are in that area of there lives and are still
raising the kids on there own. Just hold your head up for in the end the
rewards you end up with will be beyond anything you can

Well it's not me you should be thanking but yourselves instead it is a
long hard struggle but one with many rewards that you cannot get
anywhere else. Rewards of Love is earned and in the later years when
your kids are looking at you eye to eye and telling you I Love You you
will know that all you gave up was well worth ever minute of it.

I would do it all over again knowing the love I receive from both of my
kids they might think I'm a bit crazy at times and never know what I
will say next but......... the LOVE I see in there eyes for me is a
TRUE LOVE! There is not a greater Joy than that!!!!

Thanks girl.....it's nice to know we are not alone in this adventure of
single parenting. My daughter is 12 and my son is almost 15. I look at
them and wonder where the time has gone. And I look at two parent
families and wonder how the heck I do this on my own!!!!!! I must say
that God supplies a little extra energy boost to those of us trying to
be mommy and daddy!
God Bless my fellow teammates out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For all those that think they are alone in this believe me your not.
But... what is funny to me and I have noticed it more than once since I
have been watching a little more. Is that the kids that have grown up in
a single parent home seem to be more stable and more loving and there is
that bond with that single parent that is not always with a two parent
family. The conlusions I have come u with is because you are actaully
trying harder for you want to make up what they would be lacking and in
the long run they actually do receive more attention then they normally
would this is not the case in all of them but... in more than 75% of the
time. I know I did pay much more attention to mine raising them alone
then I think I would have with there Dad in the picture. But that is
just the way I see things. Like I said the rewards are worth every
little heart ache you have to go through so just keep on doing the best
you can for that is all you can do and hope they catch some of it
believe me they understand us more than we think at times.

I'm a a single parent of an 18 year old son, on the verge of leaving the
nest , not an easy time at all.But I know that when he finally does he
can survive out in the world because of what I taught him.

Let's not forget the single dad's out there ladies, the ones raising
their kids like we have, they deserve kudos too!!

Awwwwww g/f would never forget the single Dad's that is why I put it as
single parents they actually have it harder in my book those instints
seem to be in the women but the men now have to learn from scratch and I
do admire all the Dad's that spend time with there kids as well as raise
them all on there own!flowerforyou bigsmile

for the guys I do admire all men that take time with there kids after a
Divorce.flowerforyou

It is tougher on the guys since society has always believed kids should
be with their moms. But I know some incredible dads out there and who
can really say which parent has more ability to love a
child.........love is love!

Thanks TXS..you know I didn't really realize that many single men raise
thier children alone until I dated a single guy who was doing just
that!! I think men have it harder then women do, because most don't get
child support, or know exactly what they are doing! My ex boyfriend use
to call me all the time and ask questions---so I have to applaud any man
who is willing to raise thier children alone and not complain!!
I believe that in the end, we do get reward for what we put out in
life~~my boys will be there for me in the end! I have 2 wonderful boys
that I love very much and in the end whatever they end up being will be
partly because of me flowerforyou

OHHHhhhhhh yes the rewards are beyond anything that anyone can image. I
look at my kids now that they are young Adults and of course still can
see them when they were little and some of the crazy things they pulled
on me but as I look at then and the look back you can not only feel that
love but you can see it in there eyes as well. They were my life line
and what keep my soul wanting to move forward they were and are still my
World!
That is somthing that no one can take away from you once you have earned
that love it is there to STAY!

This is not only for the parents that raise the kids on there own but
also the other parent that still spends as much quality time with there
kids after a Divorce. For there are too many that after those papers are
signed they seem to have a lasp in memory and think they have divorced
there kids also. So to even let the ones know that just because they no
longer live with you take the time with them be there for them do things
with them don't miss there sports games or school plays all these things
may seem litte and no big deal but they are really big issues in your
kids lives so be there for them just the smile you see on there face
when they see you in the crowd will speak a millon words to your
heart.  bigsmile
