Why do people ask for dating advice,from others that are single themselves??? you have to consider over half the jsh population came from one failed union or another..... just a thought!!! Well just because someone's single, it doesn't make them disqualified from common sense.  And who knows better the 'rules' of dating than someone who does it well?
Some of the best dating books written are by singles .. yep  cuz they are IN it .. and have it down.

Good point . Maybe to make themselves look miserable and others feel sorry for them and ask them for a date .......!. Maybe they are bored to death and just find something to talk about ....!. Maybe they are no adults at all ....! . I doubt it very very much indeed . Lots of maybes and the answer could be : To find something and anything to say to pass time .......: this is only my opinion ....!. Getting the advice from a bunch of losers ????.

Perhaps with failures under our belts (so to speak) we have also gained wisdom and insight.
So therefore we may just have some valueable advice to share, and then again some of us are just full of it!
