I've been with this company for 8 yrs. We were laid off for 2 weeks. I applied for unemployment, figuring that will give me time to find something better....which I did not find..so, had to go back...now their telling us that most of us left will be laid off permanently within a month. mad
I think thier trying to make us miserable so we just quit & go grab any old job. NOT ME...I'm gonna work every minute I can for the money until they tell me to leave...and I will reopen my unemployment case every time they do this (unless of coarse I find something better) Would you?

What happened to the jobs? Did they outsource or close shop?

Yes, but I would keep searching for a better job in the meanwhile.

Yeah I'm hanging until they say otherwise...I'm not really leaving on bad terms when it happens...at least the manager leveled with me ....so I am sorta prepared.

My company closed in January 08; I'm on unemployment and still can't find a job:cry:
I'm scared and find myself slipping into days of depression (which I've never experienced before). Today, besides looking for a job, I cried most of the day because I fear losing everything I have -- apartment, car, etc. Recently, the local unemployment closed it's doors; it's that bad here in Yonkers, NY. But I'm grateful for the 2 great friends I have in my life who never let me go hungry and go a day without feeling loved.
Hold on to that job for as long as you can. I wish you luck babe.
