Jean is from Russia originally, and does not speak English as well as Americans.

Let's please be kind.flowerforyou

She also lost both her parents recently.

I too am of similar background...and have lost both my parents also.

Let us show love and compassion towards Jean .....for in showing love and kindness, we will all be blessed in return ....for loving kindness shall surely also be shown back unto us.:heart::heart:

I think it is a fairy tale, it defies all logic and reasoning. If there is a God, why didn't he tell the Jews to keep the middle east, where all the oil is?

huh??????????
what does God have to do with the oil?
can you argue more logical?

god has everything to do with the oil - he had it come into being correct? hahaha

And he did give it to the jews, but they blew it and he scattered tham everywhere. so the land reverted to the muslim. thats the short and sweet of it -

God is not a he or she. You cannot love him or her. God, if he is, just is. Personally, to love God directly is a waste. You should love what he has provided for us. Not to mention each other a little more.

I don't think God will favor you if you love Him and keep Him first.

Infact, if God has any kind of personality at all, I would hope he wouldn't play favors like that. Treat other people well, that, I think, is the way to get in God's good graces. Again, if he has any.

A agree with this. How does one "love God?" They have never met God in person, they have never seen God. To them, God is just an idea of an all perfect creator that they have some idea about. They love the idea, not the God.

To love your life and other people is to love God.

I agree with the idea of loving others, and loving creation. Indeed all that is part of loving God.
I also agree with the idea of we cannot define God as a he or a she (if say he is just out of custom) If I call Him a Father, I tell you what God can be a Mother as well. In reality God has both nature (male and female).
BUt then the statement that we haven't met God in person it's a logical fallacy per se.
How can somebody met a pure spirit?
What we are able to do is to experience God.
Like you said through other people and through nature (God's creation).
This issue is what make people so close minded. People want to see an God with Human shape. Right there is the mistake.
